Chapter 2

Meeting Rian
*Ashley's POV*

Its been a week since Haley's birthday. Tomorrow is the day she will finally get to met her dad. He doesn't know about her but I plan on telling him at the concert. Hopefully everything works out the way it should.

"Haley!" I call, "come get in the car honey". She runs out of the house to the car door. "Where are we going mommy?" Haley asks with her sweet little voice. "We're going to.." I started, not knowing how to tell her exactly. "To a concert to meet someone" I finished. "Who are we meeting mommy?" I guess I should just tell her now. "W-we are going to meet you father" I told her nervous for her reaction. We never talk about him, so I'm not sure if she'll be excited or not.  "REALLY!" She squealed from the back seat. "Yeah! I'm happy you're so excited" I hope Rian is this excited. This was they're Baltimore show, the hometown show, one of the most important for every band. Hopefully this doesn't ruin his day

~3 Hours Later~

We arrived at the venue they were playing at. It's crazy that Haley likes All Time Low so much without even knowing her dads in the band. Its also crazy to know that after today I would change Rians life forever.

The show had begun and the crowd was going insane. Haley was probably the most excited out of anyone in the crowd. She loved this band to the extent that she knew every song on the setlist by heart. During Kids in the Dark she was on my shoulders smiling and singing loudly. We were close to the stage, and Alex was staring straight at us. While he wasn't singing he signaled for her to get on stage, I nodded and then asked her and she agreed. One of the guards lifted her off of my shoulders and into the stage. Alex put the mic to her mouth and sang the chorus with her. Haley was so happy and smiling so widely, I loved her big smile. Jack was smiling at the sight. Rian looked up from the drums and couldn't take his eyes off of her. Its almost like they had a connection already.

Once the show was over Alex called me and Haley over to the side of the stage, he brought us backstage and told me how adorable she was. Rian and Jack walked up and told her she sang beautifully. They took a few pictures with her and so did Alex and Zack. They assumed we were normal fans but we were more then that.

We were about to leave but I knew I had to say something. I asked Alex to show her around to the merch or something while I went to the restroom . I lied but I had to do something the keep her off my hands for a minute. "hey umm..Rian" I said catching his attention. "hey, yeah..Ashley was it?" he said turning to face me. "okay this is going to sound crazy but I have to tell you something," I started. "yeah what is it?" he asked smiling not knowing what I was about to say would change his life. "okay don't freak out but...you're a dad" I said waiting for his reaction. "w-what?" he asked followed by a laugh. He probably thought I was crazy. "Haley, umm, she's your daughter" I told him.

After about 30 minutes of me explaining to him what had happened and why I hadn't told him about her until now he finally accepted it. "I-I can't believe I'm a father, are you, are you sure?" he asked me. "I'm almost positive, we can have it tested but I'm certain she's yours" I told him. He seemed happy but confused. I could tell he was stressing out about it. He asked me if she knew yet and I told him I was waiting to see how he reacted.

Alex came up to us and gave me Haley back. I saw the way Rian smiled at her and how she looked at him. They already seemed to like each other
