Chapter 4

Getting to Know Haley
*Rians POV*

Once Haley woke up Ash told me to tell her. Haley followed me to the back lounge where we sat in silence for a minute or two while I thought about what to say. "So, Haley" I started, grabbing her attention. "You, um I, I'm your dad," I spoke unsure of my words. "I'm your dad" I spoke giving myself reassurance. "You're my dad!" she squealed, "No way! I love you!". She loved me, did she actually know me. I mean I knew she liked our band but I didn't know she knew who I was. After a few minutes of small talk I decided to ask her a few questions to get to know her.
  "So Haley how old are you?" I already knew the answer, I just wanted to start it off easy. "I'm 6!" She said with a big smile, holding up 6 fingers. "How old are you, daddy?" She asked me. Her eyes were big and looking right into mine. She had the prettiest eyes I've ever seen. "I'm 27. I know I'm old!" I said laughing with her. I could get used to being a dad.
  "What's your full name?" She asked me. "It's Robert Rian Dawson..but I like to be called Rian." I tell her trying not to confuse her. "Rian Dawson, my favorite drummer!" she spoke proudly. "what a cute name" she smiled at me. I've never been told my name was cute. "And what's yours little miss?" I asked poking her sides. "My name is Haley Rynn Miller!" She said in between giggles. Miller? We'll need to change that to Dawson soon. "Wait! Rynn is like Rian!". She says smiling up at me. "Yeah it is!" I said smiling back. I wonder if Ashley did that on purpose.
We went back and forth asking questions and laughing at silly jokes. I got to know a lot about her. She loves clothes, music and she wants to be a model. She also told me her birthday was last week so maybe we'd have to celebrate. Who knows. She also loves to sing. She was singing Cinderblock Garden so I decided to play along on the cajon we have in the back. I could tell she loved it. She was nervous at first but she kept singing.
Alex walked in and stared at her in awe. She has an amazing voice. After a minute or so, he joined in and she started getting quieter, I could see she was self conscious in front of her. "Haley you can sing louder, he doesn't care baby" I said trying to higher her confidence.
"What do you want to sing next?" Alex said grabbing his guitar. "Can we sing the kids in the dark one?" She asked shyly.

*Alexs POV*

I won't lie, it's kinda weird that Rian is a dad. But I'm not complaining, Haley is adorable and a huge All Time Low fan.

  They were having alone time in the back lounge and I heard someone singing, it wasn't Rian so I assumed it was little Haley. Her voice was beautiful. It was so good for a little kid. I decided to go check up on them and she was singing cinderblock garden. I was blown away by her amazing voice. I sat down and decided to start singing along with her. After that she wanted to sing kids in the dark. She must really like it, she sang it on stage earlier, even though I didn't hear her that well over the loud crowd and my in ear monitors.

  I began the cords to Kids in The Dark and Rian started drumming. She looked at me nervously we were about to begin singing. I grabbed her hand to comfort her. She had adorable little baby hands. I began to sing with her and she started off shy but towards the end she was singing full heartedly. "Good job bug" I spoke smiling at the mini Rian sitting to my right.
  That night Ashley and Haley slept in Rians bunk, leaving him to the couch in the front lounge. During the night I heard a quite humming to dear Maria, I knew it was Haley. Man was she adorable.

*Rians POV*

In the morning I woke up to Jack and Haley sitting on me. "What the f-" I started then remembered there was a 6 year old on the bus now. "Heck Jack," I finished. "We just came to wake you up sleepy head!" Jack said jumping on me. I closed my eyes and lay my head back down. "Wake up daddy!!" Haley screamed in my face. It was weird hearing a kid call me dad. That will take some getting used to.
"So what are we doing today daddy" Haley asked whilst Ashley made her cereal. "We don't have a show today so we can adventure around the town!" I said hoping Ashley would approve. I don't know much about her, we only hooked up once and hadn't kept in touch. "Can mommy come?" She asked me in a sweet voice. "If your mommy wants to she can!" I said poking her little nose.
