Chapter 10

*Rians POV*

"Hey Alex," I say sitting down next to him. He was playing GTA 5, "yeah?" he responded not fully interested due to the game. "Do you think you could have Haley on stage with you to sing for a song or two?" I asked knowing he'd most likely say yes. He loved her almost as much as I did. "umm yeah sure what songs?" he asked more interested. "I don't know, you should ask her that, but she'll probably say kids in the dark" I said looking at him. "Okay, yeah sounds cool, " he said casually then paused his game and jumped up. "WAIT!" he yelled. "What?" i asked genuinely concerned. "The fans don't know! They saw her at the hometown show, and they'll be a little confused seeing the same girl on stage at a show in the middle of Kansas!" he said looking me dead in the eye. He was right, they'd definitely be confused. "So should I tell them?" I asked Alex not knowing what to do. "I-I think you should" he said.

I was going to post a tweet but, Cassadee follows me, I don't want her to find out like that. I know Ill have to tell her and then tell the fans. I had to do both before the show tonight, which is in 7 hours. So, I called Ashley, who was at the mall with Haley, and asked her if it was alright to tell the fans and my girlfriend. I thought she'd be confused that I have a girlfriend but I forgot, she was a fan before she told me about my daughter.

I just finished my call with Cassadee, at first she thought it was a joke until I sent her a picture of me and Haley this morning. She wasn't to sure how to react, she was confused but over all happy for me. She was excited to meet her. I told her everything that's happened this past week and that I was sorry for not telling her. She was a little upset but said she understood. After we said our goodbyes and I love you's she hung up. I felt a lot better now that she knows. I knew she wouldn't be mad, and I hope her and Haley can really get to know each other. I can see us 3 living happily in the future. I was brought out of my daydream by Alex telling me to go do soundcheck. I told him I was about to tell the fans about Haley. I was nervous and I knew some of them wouldn't like it but I didn't care, she's my daughter and the world deserves to know. If they see me with a kid they'll be suspicious and I'd rather them know the truth then make up rumors.

So I took out my phone and tweeted the picture of Haley from earlier today. I shortly explained that she was my daughter and her name is Haley. I only have 140 characters to tell the fans about her. I tweeted it and locked my phone, I didn't want to read the replies yet. I grabbed a beer and walked to sound check.

After sound check, I went to the bus to shower quickly. Once I was dressed I sat down in the front lounge. I realized I was starving, I haven't ate since 9 this morning with Haley, and it was now 6. "Anybody in the mood to go out to eat?" I asked knowing they'd all be down.  As expected the whole band was in. We took an uber to the nearest fast food restaurant and got our food.

"yeah dude, did you see why they're all saying on Twitter?" Alex asked as he took a bite of his burger.Honestly I hadn't checked Twitter since I posted the tweet about Haley. I was scared, Ill admit it. I was scared they'd judge her, I was scared they'd stop liking me. Oh boy was I wrong. I checked Twitter and everyone was commenting about how she was adorable. None the less they were all confused but supportive. I'm happy to have fans that are accepting. I was brought out of my thought by Alex and Hayley talking about what songs she was going to sing on stage tonight. "can I do kids in the dark and Sinnerblock garten" Hayley asked struggling to say the words. we all let out a chuckle. "yeah honey, you can; but it's cinderblock garden" Alex reassured her. she laughed off her mistake and started giggling and messing with jacks hair. I loved how much energy she had. After we were done eating I grabbed Haley and put her on my hip. She cuddled into my shoulder and played with the collar of my shirt as we walked out to the uber.

We were on stage and cinderblock garden was on next. I knew that Haley had every word memorized but I was still nervous for her. She had only preformed on stage once before.  It was also the first time fans would see her on stage since the announcement. I looked over and say Ash holding Haley, I couldn't hear but it looked like she was giving her a pep talk on how she'd do amazing. missing you ended and Alex and Zack were getting ready for cinderblock garden. "okay, so tonight we're having a special guest come on stage and do a little duet with us," Alex spoke. That was Haleys que, she ran out on stage right as he said "Little miss Haley Dawson!". she ran out and hugged Alexs legs, he picked her up and stood her on a box so she could reach the mic. He began to strum and the crowd began to sing. Haley was a little nervous at first, but after a few seconds in she was singing her little heart out. I couldn't believe my little 6 year old was on stage singing in front of hundreds of people. You could tell she was having the time of her life. The crowd looked at her in awe, they were singing along as well but had their focus on her. "we could make forever after all.." she sang beautifully as the crowd got silent, it was the proudest moment of my life.
   Once the song was over Alex hugged her and so did Zack. the crowd cheered and she bowed then skipped of stage. "isn't she just the cutest thing?!" Alex gushed at the fans. "tell he about it!" i said speaking into a mic near me. The crowd laughed and Jack joked about her taking Alexs place.

The show was almost over and Haley was coming back out for Kids in The Dark. Once again the crowd screamed when they saw her. This time Haley was walking around the stage with a mic. She walked up the little stairs toward me and smiled up at me as I drummed. We locked eyes and in that moment, I truly connected with her, we both looked so proud of each other. Without thinking she said "I love you daddy!" into the microphone, forgetting everyone could hear. They all laughed and aw'ed and she started to blush. Jack laughed and aw'ed at her as well. I didn't want her to be embarassed so I yelled "I LOVE YOU TOO HALEY" as loud as I could back. She giggled and walked back over to Alex to sing to the crowd. She was my little rock star. She sat on a speaker by Zack for the last 2 songs. She kept looking at me and smiling.

After Dear Maria, Zack helped her down and she ran around the stage just dancing. The crowd aw'ed again at my beautiful daughter. I got down from my drum kit and swooped her up. I held her bridal style and spun around with her. Zack held his hand out and he held her. He lifted her, and threw her in the air and caught her, thankfully. "MY TURN!" Jack said running over to Zack. He lifted Jack bridal style and spun. Haley thought it was the funniest thing. The 5 of us just danced around the stage while Uptown Funk played in the background. I threw out my drumsticks as the others through picks. We let Haley throw a few things. Zack lifted her and pretended to throw her into the crowd, which resulted in a fit of giggles.

"That was the best night ever!" Haley said as we got back on the bus. "You were amazing baby girl!" I said hugging her. The rest of the guys congratulated her. She was probably tired, so we let her shower first. Once she was out I kissed her goodnight and tucked her into my bed.

"Wow she's amazing, why can't you sing like that?" I teased Alex. He gave me a sarcastic laugh. We continued talking about how great of a singer she was. Around 11 I went back to my bunk to get some sleep. I scooted Haley over and layed next to her. She cuddled into my chest and that's how I fell asleep, just how I liked it.
