Chapter 8

is she mine?
*Rians POV*

Haley and Ashley have been on the bus a little over a week. Everyday was pretty similar, wake up, eat, watch cartoons with Haley, go do some activity with her, go back, eat, nap, play a show, drink, sleep, repeat. But hey, I'm not complaining.

Today's going to be different, we're going to see if Haley is my daughter. I'm almost 100% sure she is, everybody on the bus tells me she has my eyes and my smile. I see it but I just want to be certain. I already told my parents about the situation, they were super supportive and told me how proud they were that I was taking on the responsibility. We haven't told the fans yet, strangely they haven't noticed me with a child walking around the bus, or out in public. which I'm so thankful for.

Haley got dressed and ready to go to the doctors office. We had to go get a blood test done. She didn't really know what we were going but she's always excited no matter what. She didn't really realize what was going to happen. Once we got in the room her excitement faded and fear took over.

We had just done the blood test and now we're sitting in hospital room watching the stupid golf show on tv. I had Haley on my lap playing games on my phone. The doctor came in, showed us the result and assured me that I'm the father. I hugged Haley so tight she could've exploded. I was so happy.

Next stop, the courthouse, to legally sign me as Haleys father and change her name to Haley Rynn Dawson. We walked into the building and I instantly got bored, this place was no fun. But, I had to do it for my daughter. Once it was all said and done we took Haley out for a late lunch and some ice cream. We explained that she would spend time with me and her mother separately and just got her used to the idea.

We got back to the bus around 2pm and Haley was worn out. I laid her down in my bunk and put on a playlist of our acoustic songs to sooth her to sleep. She fell asleep instantly, looking at her beautiful face when she slept, was an adorable sight. I walked back into the front lounge where Jack and Alex were sitting. "Hey so how was court?" Alex asked looking up from with phone. Jack looked up, interested in the conversation. "Well, she's mine, she's my daughter" I said smiling at the fact. "Really dude!?" Alex asked smiling and jumping up. "WE CAN KEEP HER!" Jack joined Alex. "Yes, yes we can keep her" I assured them laughing.

That night after the show, I decided I'd call my mom. Once she answered I told her to get dad, and put it on speaker phone. I told them about how we had gone to court, and how she was Actually my daughter. After the phone call I told Ashley how my family wanted to meet our daughter. It was weird talking to her one on one. Strangely me and Ashely don't talk a lot for being on the same bus for the majority of the day and sharing a child. I knew we needed to talk about when I get Haley and that kind of stuff but I didn't know when we would discuss it. I kind of don't want to know, I don't want Haley to ever leave.

I went to finally head to bed, and a sleepy Haley was already laying in my bunk. I didn't mind, her cuddles were the best, So we lay there cuddling as i listen to the faint sound of gasps, oohs, and ahhhs due to the dumb space movie Alex and Jeff were watching in the back lounge. This was very normal actually, they were complete space nerds

I noticed Haley had began snoring softly. I laid there thinking about how much my life has changed, for the better of course. I thought about my future with Haley. I wanted to spend as much time with her as I can. I regret missing the first 6 years of her life. I know it isn't my fault but I still feel bad. I want to spend alone time with her soon. I know a ton about her but a one on one conversation with her would help our bonding. I love thinking about my adorable princess. I found myself thinking about her as I dozed off to sleep.
