a daddy daughter day
*Rians POV*

We didn't have a show until 8 pm tonight so I decided it should be a good time to spend with Haley. I had asked Ashley the night before if I could take her to the water park alone and she agreed. I loved how she trusted me only after a few days of knowing her. I must be doing something right.

"Hey Haley!!" I said sitting down next to her on the couch. "I have a surprise for you!!" I finished. "What is it daddy!" she said jumping up and down. "We're going to a water park!!" I told her with a. bright smile. "YAYYY!" her and Alex said at the same time. "No not you, idiot!" I said to Alex. They both automatically frowned "Ally isn't coming?" she said in her small voice. I couldn't say no to her, I also couldn't say no with Alex staring at me with his eyes on mine. "Okay he can come to" I finally gave in.

I was getting ready, packing a bag of sunscreen and all of our other pool essentials, a had ash dress Haley, I loved her and all but I don't think I've known her long enough to do that. "Um..Rian, can you come here real quick" she called from the back of the bus. I walked back and saw all of Haleys clothes scattered around. "we didn't pack her swimming suit," Ashley said looking up at me. "oh, um that's okay. umm..." I said trying to think what to do. "hey Alex can you call an uber!" I called to him in the front lounge.

I sent Ashley to the mall to pick up a swimsuit for Haley. While she was away we decided to continue getting ready. Haley had everything ready to go, we were waiting on Ashley to return with her swim suit. Haley was jumping around annoyed that it was taking her mom so long. She was so excited to go swimming that she was running around and yelling "POOL TIME" over and over again. It was adorable but I needed her to calm down for the time being so I put on a movie for her and finished getting dressed.

Jack walked on the bus and saw that we were about to leave. "Hey guys! where're we going!" he said gesturing to our bags. "Jacky!!!" Haley yelled followed by running to hug his legs. "We're going swimming!" she said shining him a bright smile. "I'm in!" he yelled, running to his bunk to get swimming trunks. He returned moments later dressed and had a handful of deflated pool toys. "Where did you get those?" Alex asked concerned yet intrigued. After Jack explained why he had so many pool floaties, Ashley returned with a black swim suit with a little flower design for Haley. Her being the little fashionista she is, she loved it.

The water park was only a few blocks away, but we were all to lazy to walk to we called an uber. We put our bags in the front seat and the 4 of us piled into the small car. Haley on my lap playing with my phone. I loved how close we were for only knowing about each other this short amount of time.

At the water park Jack and Haley insisted we blew up the pool toys. So Jack and Alex sat for 45 minutes blowing them up, it shouldn't have taken them so long but they got tired after 50 seconds. Haley and I went into the kiddie section where she went down the little slides and I made sure she didn't drown, I'm getting pretty good at this dad stuff.

Once Jack and Alex joined us we took turns giving my daughter underwater piggy back rides. Although Jack was wild guy most of the time he was very cautious with her, which I appreciated. Alex on the other hand would be a little more risky, knowing he wouldn't hurt her. I think I was a mix of both, being fun and cautious with her.

"Hey daddy! can we go on the big kid slides!" she asked pointing to the big blue slide that swirled around. "yeah princess, let's go" I said grabbing her hand and leading her to the slide. I didn't want her to go down alone so I sat down and sat her on my lap, once it was okay to go we went down, she was laughing and splashing the water as we went.

I loved how she acted so natural around me. I was so happy to be a parent, I was still scared and blown away by it. I knew allowing Haley into my life would change everything but seeing her face light up when she's around me makes it all worth it.

We spent the rest of the day on the slides and doing tricks with her. Jack loved going down the slides so we made him take Haley with him. It was going fine until he left her at the top of the slide and forgot to take her with him. Which lead to her being at the top of a huge slide alone I tears. I swear his brain is only functioning half of the time. So I ran up there and carried her down the stairs, I could see she was getting tired and she probably didn't want to go down the slide any more. I decided it was probably time to get a real meal. All we had eaten so far was concession stand snacks.

"Hey princess, we're going to go home now, is that okay?" I asked her softly, knowing she was tired and still upset about the slide thing. "NO!" she screamed, she began crying again "I want to stay with you and jacky and alley! I don't want to go home!" she said hugging me tightly.
I rubbed her back softly and reassured her that I meant back to the bus. Once she finally settled down I called an uber and went back to our bus.

On the way back all I could think about was when this would have to end. I know she's my daughter so I'll get some custody, but Ashley wouldn't want to stay on tour with us for the next 3 months, and then we'd probably be on tour a few months after break. That's all we've done, tour after tour after tour. I didn't mind it at all, it's what I loved but it's going to be hard not seeing my daughter that I'd just found out about after 6 years! Well hell I don't know for a fact she's mine! We'll need to get a DNA test done soon. I don't really doubt that she's mine but I just want to know 100% before I get too attached to her. Although I'm afraid I already have.
