I panicked. But I had to keep my cool. After all, I was Lance Corporal Cool. Heheh.

"Cadet Ackerman. Why are you not with your fellow cadets in the physical training?" I asked Mikasa. Her eyes widened slightly and she looked down.

"Um.. I ... I was uh... getting some water," she stutters. I nod. I move in closer to her and I saw her flinch slightly, almost as if she was afraid that I was going to hit her or something. That was something I had never seen in her before.

"Miss Ackerman, how much of my conversation with Hanji did you hear?" I whisper, close to her ear.

She moved back a bit, her eyes even wider and her cheeks deep red as she was blushing a lot.

"I uh... I um... uh... I-I didn't hear ..any-anything. n-nothing at all!" she stumbled. She was clearly trying to find words but they seemed to escape her and she avoided eye contact with me all the time. Which meant two things: One, she completely heard me and two, she liked me. I put a hand on her shoulder and she tensed immediately. She then looked into my eyes and that's when I realized that I was mistaken. She did not have feelings for me. Instead, I saw betrayal in her eyes. Betrayal and.....sadness?

"Mikasa, is everything alright?" I asked her. Suddenly, she changed completely. Anger settled in her gaze and she twisted her shoulder away from my grip.

"You stay away from me and Eren, got that?" Mikasa ordered. She then stomped away.

I looked at her in disbelief. First off, how dare she order me like that?I was the captain.. not her. And secondly, stay away from her and Eren? She made me go from feeling sorry for her to downright hating her.

I might as well just act a little flirty in front of Eren, just to piss Mikasa off a little more. In fact, I decided to start immediately.

I walk back to the area where the other cadets were doing their exercise.

"Cadet Jaeger! Come here immediately please!" I call out to him. He looks at his friends, Armin and Mikasa. She looked at him concerned and then gave me a death glare, as if to warn. As if I care.

"Y-yes?" he asked me, stuttering slightly. I smiled at him.

" You are coming with me," I say to him, looking deep into his eyes and using my raspy voice. I tried to be as seductive as possible.
