"Okay look, you two try and get Calum and i'll go after Luke, Michael said he would help us with Ashton but he can't be fully trusted just yet." I said to Harry and Tiffany who were clinging onto each other tighter than I've ever seen before. "Chloe we need to stay together" Harry pleaded but i kept refusing his offer because I knew who they were really after, and that was me. If they saw the two of them on my side they would kill them with me and I knew I would never forgive myself if I let that happen.

We said our goodbyes and ran in opposite directions of each other hoping our goodbye wouldn't be the last. I ran to the most recognizable part of the forest which was an open area with little trees and short brown grass. I had been running for what felt like days and I was ready to fight back. I wanted to be the last thing they'll see, I wanted to see the life leave their eyes just like they watched the life leave all the innocent girl's eyes. I was going to enjoy this, nothing could stand in my way at this point

I gathered all my hair into a pony tail and pulled myself up the nearest tree as the bright full moon shone down cast a shadow on a moving object that looked like a person running towards me. I lowered myself ready to strike when I saw Luke turn the corner with a gun in his hand. I started to become nervous knowing that he had something to kill me with from a distance but i couldn't let my nerves get in the way. I had people on my side and i wasn't going down without a fight.

Luke slid down the trunk of the tree i was in and sat with his head in his hands and the gun a good distance away from him. Even in the quiet of the night his soft sobs were barely detectable over the cricket's loud chirping. I pushed my feelings aside as I made my way down the tree and towards him. I had successfully landed on the other side of where he was sitting. I quietly crept around to where his gun was quickly taking it in my hand without him noticing.

I tried my best to stay silent but that failed quickly when I stepped on a twig that broke the eerie silence between us. "Chloe?" he asked standing up as I pointed the gun at him causing him to raise his hands in defense. "Chloe you're still alive" he smiled walking to me. "Stop" I said harshly and he didn't hesitate to do what I said eyeing the gun in my hand. "I know what you've done, how many girls you've killed, how many innocent lives you've taken. All that ends now Luke" I said raising the gun as he pushed it out of my hand before I had time to react.

He tackled to the ground but I fought back by pushing myself on top of him trying to have the power but i was quickly lost when he pushed me off and up against the tree. "Chloe I don't want to hurt you" he said his blue eyes shining in the dim light of the night. "That's why you're trying to kill me right?" I asked struggling in his tight grip. "After all this I bet you were the one who killed Alyssa" I spat as he brought his hand up and slapped me. "Take it back" he growled but I wasn't backing down.

"I said take it back!" he screamed his hands tightening around my shoulders. My silence answered the fact that I stood by what I said and he wasn't happy about that. "I would never hurt Alyssa" he said his voice small. "Then why'd you let her walk home alone, you knew she wasn't safe" I said taking my opportunity to break him. "I didn't want her to, she could've cut off both my legs and I would've dragged myself to make sure she got home safe before I even went to the hospital" he pleaded and I let a part of me believe him.

"I went to the bathroom to calm down after I saw the text she got, she told me not to worry but I was furious, I didn't want my actions to get the best of me so I went to the bathroom for five minutes and when I came back she was gone. I went to find her but she vanished, I called her and her mom but nothing, she hadn't even made it home. I knew there was something wrong because the text wasn't something about her cheating but it was a death threat, to me" he said tears now falling down his face

"Then why didn't you tell the police?" I asked confused as to what was happening since I had heard three different stories about that night. "Because I knew they would've caught them and they'd be locked up, I wanted to get even, I wanted to take their life just like they took mine." he said his eyes growing dark and I understood what he meant by wanting to get someone back for the pain they caused. "I didn't want to hurt you either, I'm sorry for hitting you it's just that sometimes I let my anger get that best of me." he apologized avoiding eye contact. "Is that why you killed all those innocent girls?" I questioned not fully accepting his apology

"I was angry and wanted to destroy everything that reminded me of Alyssa. That included blondes, I know it sounds stupid but every time I saw a blonde I saw Alyssa and it was eating me alive. One night I followed a girl home and I killed her, it felt wrong but I couldn't take it back. I called Ashton and he helped me cover up but ever since he hasn't been the same, not that I could blame him, it's hard to come back from that. Ashton suggested the game and when I didn't agree he'd threaten to tell the police, then Michael and Calum joined and we're too deep in to stop now" he said his head in his hands

"Chloe i'm not gonna let them hurt you. You're my second chance and I'm not gonna let it slip away like the first time, but you have to trust me" he said putting out his hand for me to take. I placed my hand in his since I felt as though I could trust him after all he's confessed and even if I couldn't I could distract him long enough to keep Harry and Tiffany safe. "I trust you"
