Kris looked back and forth between Rob and I, obviously curious as to what we were discussing. "Sorry, did I interrupt something...?" She asked curiously.I turned to face her. "Yeah, actually...but you had perfect timing. Can I speak to you alone?" I asked with my arms folded across my chest.
Her expression changed to serious. "Oh. Is something wrong?"
"Yeah, there is actually." I said as I walked past her towards her office. I looked behind me to see her giving Rob a worried and bewildered look before turned to follow me as I led the way boldly to her office.
Once we were both in the room with the door shut, I said bluntly, "Did you sign a contract for me agreeing that I was on the show?"
Kris got pale and her expression changed completely.
I threw my hands up in the air. "Oh great...your expression says it all!"
"Kamryn, calm down...I did the same thing for Kendall and Kylie and-"
"I don't care!" I yelled, my voice getting more and more aggravated and raised. "Don't you see?? I am just now accepting you as my mother, I don't need you as a manager too!"
She got quiet. I continued, "Did you even consider asking me if I wanted to be on the show? I mean what would make you think I would actually want to be a part of it anyway?"
Kris stutterd, "I don't know, okay! I just thought that Kendall and Kylie were okay with it starting out so I thought you would be too."
Sorry. That excuse isn't gonna cut it.
"Kris, that is two completely opposite situations. Kendall and Kylie grew up with cameras all around...I've barely even been able to buy my school portraits each year. It's a huge adjustment for me." I stated, hoping she would understand just a little bit.
"I understand..." Kris said. "I guess I was just hoping this could maybe help lead to something else."
I stopped and my eyebrow raised. "Something else. What do you mean?"
"I don't know, I mean the show is how Kendall started her modeling career in the first place and-"
"Woah, stop-" I cut her off. "Modeling career? Is that what you're getting at here?" My eyes widened. "This is my third day in this house and you already want to be my manager!?"
"No Kamryn that's not what I meant!" Kris yelled.
"By all means, explain!" I crossed my arms and waited for an explanation.
Kris took a deep breath and sat down at her desk. I chose to stay standing. I wasn't in the mood to get into a long heartfelt conversation with her.
She began, "Kamryn, you are such a beautiful girl. I am still getting to know what your interests are. I didn't know what kind of path you wanted to pursue. I wanted you to have options. I would never pressure you into modeling!"
I sighed and realized I was probably overreacting a little bit. I admitted, "Oh. Okay. Um...I guess I should apologize for being a little dramatic....I guess you're just looking out for me."
She smiled and I continued, "I don't plan on doing modeling though. I am still a little shy."
"Again, not trying to pressure you, but Kendall was too. You act alot like she did." Kris grinned.
I continued, "Okay, about the cameras...Im not really sure what to do now."
"Do you want to void the contract I signed for you and sign a new one?" Kris asked.
"I don't know." I sighed. "What should I do?"
She smiled at me, leaning forward. "In my opinion, it gets easier with time. It's not that bad once you get used to it. Why don't you talk to one of the girls and get their opinion on it? But just a little thing...if you choose not to be filmed, it does make shooting the show alot harder. Eventually the crew will make you stay away like Rob does now..."
"Oh, okay..." I said. "I'll ask Kendall or Kylie or someone later."
We left Kris's office and walked Into the kitchen. Everyone was here and seated at the table. Everyone but Bruce, he was still missing.
Once everyone was seated and their meal placed in front of them, Kim stood up and made a toast. I, of course, joined in the toast with my glass of water.
Then Kim remained standing. Everyone's eyes were glued to her. "Ahem," she cleared her throat. Her eyes were glowing like she was about to cry.
"Bruce, is on his way over now, to make an announcement."
