Saving Bradley (An SVU Fanfiction)

*Olivia's POV

"Could you shut the hell up?!", I snap. My contractions last 90seconds with two minutes in between. This 'transitioning' phase is killing me. Its been like this for half an hour, now. "I'm sorry, Nick.", I rest my hand in his as Bradley walks in. "Hey, honey."

"Hey, mom. How you feeling?", she asks. She walks to my side and holds my other hand.

"Tired.", I can feel another one coming on. I yelp in pain as I feel liquid trail down my thigh. "Bradley, go back to the waiting ro-Ahh!", she doesn't object, thank god. "My water just broke.", I say breathlessly. Nick goes to the doorway and yells for a doctor. My doctor rushes in, sits in the swirly chair and moves between my legs.

"Looks like you're 10cm dilated."

"You're sure?"

"Yes, I'm positive.", I look up at Nick in fear.

"Baby, its okay. Just breathe.", he tries.

"Don't tell me what to do.", I say softly with tear filled eyes. "Just..hold my hand."

He grasps my hand tight in his and says "Don't tell me what to do.", as he kisses the back of my hand.

"Okay. Whenever you're ready, Olivia.", my doctor tells me.

"I'm not-I am not ready to do this. Nick, I can't.", I cry.

"Puedes hacerlo. Tú eres más que listo.", he's trying so hard to make feel comfortable.

"No. No, I'm not.", I shake my head. "I can't.", the reality that by the end of today, I'm going to have my baby, is setting in. I'm really scared, to be perfectly honest.

"Listen to me.", our eyes lock in a deep gaze that brings so much warmth. "When she tells you to push, you push. Don't think about the pain, don't think about anything else besides right now, being in this moment. Understand?", I nod my head.

"I'm so scared."

"We need to start pushing.", the doctor tells me.

"I know, I know you're scared. I am, too.", he is? "You gotta do this. Just breathe."

"Breathe?"

"Yeah, just breathe."

"O-okay.", my doctor gets into position and counts to three. When she said 'push', I swear, all that fear vanished. Its the most painful thing I've ever done, but it doesn't matter. In that moment, I didn't care how painful it is. After twenty minutes of pushing, I finally heard the cry I've been waiting months to hear.

"Congratulations!", the umbilical cord is cut and Alex is placed in my arms.

"Hello, baby boy!", my voice cracks. I can't believe this is actually happening.

"Liv, you did great.", Nick kisses my forehead, drenched in sweat, and then the top of the baby's head.

(Two months later)

*Bradley's POV

Mom and dad are both at work tonight. They've left me by myself with Alex a couple of times before, but they don't like having to 'put the burden on me'. I know they trust me, but things can happen and I get that. Mom just started going back to work a few weeks ago. I go to put Alex in his crib when I feel really uneasy. Almost like something is wrong.

I hear the door handle jiggle, like the way it does when you pick a lock. Holy. Shit. What am I gonna do?! Alex is fast asleep, so I quickly wrap him in a blanket and put him in a clothes hamper which I put in the closet in my bedroom. I know one thing: I'm scared. As I peer around the corner, I see a man. A strange man. Before I could turn back, he looks at me. Straight. At. Me. Be grabs me and puts me in a choke hold.

"Where's the baby?", this guy came here for Alex? I can't let him take my baby brother.

"He's-he's with my mom.", I choke out.

"Yeah?"

"Yes, I swear.", tears stream down my face. What is he gonna do?

"Then you better get her on the phone and get her here. Now.", when I refused, he pushed me to the floor and ripped my clothes off. He raped me. He actually raped me. I tried to not make a bunch of noise so Alex wouldn't cry, but he woke up anyways. "Bitch, you lied to me!", he tugs my hair and made me get him from the closet.

"Please, don't hurt him."

"Shut up!", I hold the baby tight against me, even though I'm naked. "Get your mother on the phone and repeat after me, got it?!", I nod my head and do as I'm told. He told me what to say as the phone rang.

"Bradley?", hearing voice made me cry even more.

"Mommy, I was-I was a-a bad girl.", he yanks my hair as if to tell me to hurry as Alex cries. "Ow!"

"What's happening?!"

"He says you have to c-come home or he'll kill A-Alex and I.", the man takes Alex from me. I drop the phone and try to take him back. "No, don't! Give him back! Don't hurt him! Do me, do me and-and leave him alone!", surprisingly, he agreed. Fuck. My. Life.

*Olivia's POV

'He says you have to c-come home or he'll kill A-Alex and I.", she drops the phone and I can hear muffled yelling. I run out of my office and into the squad room.

"Woah, what's wrong?", Fin skis. I put the phone on speaker and you can hear screaming, crying.

"I need to get home. Now.", everyone, without instructions, gathers everything they need and we rush to the apartment.

When we get to the door, its completely silent. I slowly open the door and slip inside, making sure nobody follows me. God, I wish Nick was here. I walk inside to find blood. Everywhere. Alex is wrapped tightly in a blanket between a bunch of pillows on the couch. Bradley. She did this. She made sure he was safe. I take my son in my arms and open the door. I have Carisi take him from me. I know he's safe. Now, my daughter. Where the hell is my daughter?! I signal the rest of the police officers and cops and such to follow Fin, Amanda and I.

"There's so much blood.", Amanda whispers to herself. Fin gave her 'the look'.

"'Manda, shut up.", she and him exchange a look.

"Bradley?! Its mom, I'm here, now!", nothing. Nothing but dead silence. I peak into her bedroom and see them. Fin and Amanda right behind me, give the same expression as I do. We found them both..covered. In. Blood. "Bradley..", I half whisper, half cry. We all lower our guns in shock of the horror before us.
