Completely Falling (A One Direction Fanfic)

Chapter 8

*Cassie's POV*

When we came back to Uncle Simon's Harry grabbed a plate of cake and went outside on the porch alone. I assumed that that is where he wanted to talk so I followed him after I got my cake. He saw me coming and pulled my chair out for me and sat next to me at the table. It was kind of nice, just sitting in the quiet but at the same time it felt awkward. 

"So you wanted to talk to me?" I said breaking the silence and then I took a bit of my cake

"Ummm yeah..." He mumbled " Do you think there's a chance that we could ever work?"

I paused, not expecting him to ask me so quickly "I'm not really sure. I want it to but last time I ended up being the one that was heartbroken. You moved on so quickly and I still don't think that I have."

"What do you mean I moved on quickly?" He replied shocked at my answer

"You started dating shortly after we broke up. I though we might have been able to work it out but then when I was finally getting the courage to talk to you about it you were off with Taylor Swift. I knew that I didn't stand a chance against her. She's so beautiful and famous and then there's me. I tried to move on but I just couldn't find myself to accept the other people."

Harry looked at me. He looked hurt. But then he did something that I really wasn't expecting. He kissed me on the cheek. It was sweet and It felt normal. Then he looked at me. "I never moved on either. Taylor was just a hope to get my mind off of you. The boys thought that it would be best because I apparently didn't seem like myself. And as for you. You are the most beautiful girl that I have ever laid my eyes on Cassie. And I don't care if you are famous or not, you are so sweet and understanding of me and that is what I want. I want you."

I felt a tear slip down my face. Wow. I couldn't find words to say. My heart was beating a million miles an hour and I was ok with that. Harry wiped the teas off of my face with his thumb "I'm sorry Cass, I didn't mean to upset you."

I quickly shook my head. He didn't upset me. I was so happy that I didn't let go of him over the past year. 

I looked straight at him and went in and kissed his perfect lips. They felt so similar. He put his hands on my waist and kissed me back. I enter twined my fingers in his curly hair. This felt so normal. I pulled away and put my head on his chest. He hugged me in his big strong arms. Then the doors to the patio opened up and it was my Uncle Simon. 

"What the Hell is going on out here?" He asked

My cheeks turned bright red and I could see so were harry's from the corner of my eye. 

"Um sorry sir." Harry said and he headed inside. Before he closed the door he looked over at me and winked and I gave him the most ridiculous smile back. 

"So do you want to explain to me what was happening?" Simon asked

"Nothing, we were just talking."

"Really? because it looked like a little more than talking. Cassie I really wouldn't care but I'm supposed to be keeping you and your friends safe, not send you back to North Dakota pregnant!" 

"Woah OK. I'm pretty sure we were just kissing and I passed health in school and kissing is not how you get pregnant I'm pretty sure unless it's different over here and I don't think it is." I was mad now and I just wanted to scream at him but I kept my voice calm and went inside through the living room and ran upstairs.

*Harry's POV* 

Wow I don't even know what just happened but I'm not complaining. Cass told me that she never moved on and I told her I hadn't either. I hope she was telling the truth because I sure as hell was. She is the most amazing girl ever and I think I may love her. And then... she kissed me! I didn't kiss her she kissed me. I definitely wasn't expecting that. And then Simon had to come in and ruin it. I know he wasn't fond of the fact that I was in love with his niece because he was afraid that I would hurt her. I was different though even last year. I have changed and I really want to start thinking about my future and not how many girls I can get with.

I don't know what Simon and Cassie talked about out there but it obviously didn't go well because  Cassie ran in and stormed upstairs. Merida and Elizabeth ran upstairs after her. I would've gone up but I didn't know if I should or not with her friends up there. Louis was next to me and he poked me and said "see look what you start" and then he laughed. I punched him pretty hard in the arm for that. Louis was my best friend in the band. But none of this Larry shit that has been going around with our fans. That's crazy! eventually I decided that I couldn't sit down there anymore with them so I went up stairs but not before Louis had time to scream "Get some!" really loudly as Simon came into the room. I went upstairs and then knocked on Cassie's door. Elizabeth opened the door

"I don't know If I should let you in or not..." she said wearily. 

"Please, I really need to talk to Cass." I practically begged

She sighed and reluctantly let me in.
