Five more chapter left including this one! Also, I decided to update today.

Matt's POV

I pull into the driveway. We really need to have a talk. I get out of my car and walk up the path that used to lead to mine and her front door. Nervously, I knock on the door and it is opened a minute later.

By a guy. With blonde hair. Blue eyes. Lip piercing. Taller than me.

"Who are you?" I ask him.

"Luke," he answers. "Who are you?"

"Someone who would like to talk to Alyssa."

Alyssa's POV

I hear a knock on the door and Luke gets up to get it for me. He opens it and I hear a familiar voice.

Matthew.

They start to talk before Luke comes in the living room with Matthew trailing behind him.

Oh gosh. What is he up to now?

"What are you doing here, Matthew?" I ask him. I just want him to leave as soon as possible. Ashton is upstairs with the kids and I don't want Matthew to I up there and see them.

"I need to talk to you," he tells me and I sigh. "I'm not leaving 'till I do."

"So you'll leave after we talk?" He nods his head and I look to Luke. He nods his head too, okay with it.

I sigh one last time before leaving Matthew to the laundry room. I'm not going far but they still any hear or see us.

"Wha do you want?" I ask him, hoping to get a full answer finally. He shakes his head and looks to the ground an back up. He looks terrible. Pale skin. No color to his lips. Red eyes. Bags under his eyes. What's the cause of this?

"Your the cause of this," he says as if reading my mind.

"How is that?" I ask him. No way can he pull all the blame on me.

"You're beautiful, smart, funny, and so amazing. But I can't have you," he tells me.

"That is not my fault." I try to keep my voice calm. "You are the one go cheated on me. I don't cheat on you."

"I know that." He bring his hand to his hair, that is now even longer than before, and pulls at the ends.

"Then leave me alone for good." I raise my voice. "Me and the kids don't need you. We are perfectly fine."

"I know you might be perfectly one but those kids sure are not," he replies and I know why I am going to say next is going to hurt him.

"They are because they have seven guys that treat them like their actual children. Unlike you."

It hit a nerve, I can tell, because he winces slightly at the words that just came out of my mouth.

"Don't say that," he says, his voice loud like mine. "I have done everything in my power for those kids but you stopped letting me see them."

"You don't deserve to see such amazing kids," I respond.

"You are the only one who thinks that. Nobody else has ever said that," he says.

"Whatever," I say.

"Do you still love me?" He questions.

"Excuse me?"

"Do you still love me?" He repeats even though I heard him the first time.

"Of course, Matthew," I answer. "Of course I still love you."

"Then why won't you take me back?" He asks me.

"Because you have messed up too many times. You cheated on me while we were married," I remind him.

"I was drunk," was his response and I shake my head.

"Sober, tipsy, drunk, wasted, whatever. It doesn't matter. You still cheated," I say.

"I know," he says. "How many times do I have to say sorry?"

"No more because I am tired of hearing it."

"What do you need from me to let me be with you again?"

"I need you to be loyal," I answer.

He's silent.

For an amount of time, he is still but then he starts walking towards me, making me nervous. Whats he planning on doing?

I back up and he takes a step forward. This continues until I am against the wall and Matthew is in front of me, arms on either side of me, trapping me in. Oh, crap.

He brings his head forward and my heart rate quickens. But he doesn't do what I though he would do.

"I'll always love you," he whispers in my ear and leaves, leaving me dumbfounded.

For some reason, I found myself wanting him to kiss me.
