"We should probably head inside," I murmured, setting my empty jar on the railing.
Jason heaved a sigh and straightened up. "You sure you wanna go? You drunk enough?"
I chuckled and walked back the way we came, the crowd was beginning to wild up and the snacks were being put away to make room for the food to be brought out.
"There she is!" I turned around to see Will dragging a man who I assumed to be Leo along. He had flowy blonde hair that was brushed up in a very bieber sort of way, which made me frown a bit. And he wore a snazzy black suit that sparkled under a certain angle.
His left wrist showed off four different gold watches and the first thing I noticed about his face - next to his eyes - was a faint scar that dragged on from his right eye to the edge of his lip.
Will leaned back to Leo and gestured to me, "This is her!"
An awkward smile touched my face and I hoped to God that Leo didn't notice. His dark eyes flickered to me and crinkled in a smile and I was slightly relieved.
He held out his hand to me, "Hi, it's so lovely to finally meet you. I'm Leonard, but please, call me Leo."
I stammered and hesitated for a moment before taking his hand and shaking it politely. "I'm Charlotte." I was mentally frowning, this man seemed so out of sorts. He was awfully polite, but his eyes said otherwise. They were dark - determined. And it frightened me a tad bit.
"Char? Lotte?" He asked, his lips tugging into a smirk.
I pursed my lips in response, "Just Charlotte..."
His gaze once again held mine before he looked back to Will. "Good catch, mate."
Will grinned in the dim light, and I narrowed my eyes at him. It was like he was wrapped around Leo's finger, needing his approval. "My girl's always eating junk food, Leo. I told her she's gotta be healthy."
I clenched my jaw, "Oh, yes. I forgot, you're the Leo that happened to turn Will into a health freak." I muttered.
Leo's face darkened and I blanched. "That would be me, yes. Why?" He inquired, raising an eyebrow. "Does it pose a problem?"
I crossed my arms, "Not at all."
My eyes fell on Jason who was leaning against a post, munching on some crackers. Our eyes met and he quirked a brow after seeing my facial expression. I hoped he knew I needed back up. His lips turned down into a frown and he pushed himself off the beam, taking long strides towards us.
When Jason was within arms reach I yelled out for added effect. "Jason! Hey!" It was hard to miss the speed that Will's smile fell off his face.
"Oh," Will began, his eyes flashing between Jason and I. "I didn't know you were coming, too." He mumbled.
Jason smirked, "On behalf of Carson & Son."
"Of course."
Leo cleared his throat and Jason looked at him apologetically. "Jason Henderson."
A wicked smile graced Leo's lips and he nodded. "Leonard Merchant."
Jason seemed uninterested and looked at me next. "Oh, hey this is my favourite song. Wanna dance?"
He definitely noticed the obvious relief on my face since he smiled innocently at me and I threw myself at him, earning a hearty laugh from him. "Sure!" I answered before looking over his shoulder at the duo. "Be back, Willy." I winked, dragging Jason into the centre of the wild crowd.
