As we continued down the road the streets looked more and more familiar to me. I passed these same streets everyday to get home.

"Where exactly is your house located?" I asked Kourtney giving her a side glance.

"It's on the intersection of Crest Rd and Pines."

"Are you kidding me, your the person who bought old man Griffins house"? I gasped out surprised. She turned to look at me giving me a pensive look,

"Yeah why?"

"I live next door, we're neighbors now!" I exclaimed excitedly.

"You gotta be fucking with me, you serious?" I nodded my head. "That is awesome, now we can hang out whenever." She said eagerly as we drove down the road, houses started coming into view. Most of the houses in my neighborhood were mansions occupied by the witches on the council. I found it strange that Kourtney was able to purchase the house with her being a vampire and all. Only people in the council were allowed to live in this side of town. I'm going to have to ask her when we get to her house.

I was starting to get hungry again, my gums were itchy and I could feel the burn on the back of my throat growing. I needed to feed soon or I'd be in trouble, I didn't have much control when it came to feeding. I still needed to learn how to restrain myself when I was around people. No one understands how hard it is trying to resist feeding from someone, I haven't killed anyone but that didn't mean I didn't want to drain them dry. I was snapped out of my thoughts when we pulled into the driveway of old man's Griffins house. I had been over here a couple times when Mr. Griffin would invite us over for dinner and of course my mom would always drag me along even though I hated Mr. Griffins he was such a creep and super annoying. I hopped out of the car gracefully right after Kourtney stopped the ignition while she put the hood back on . I looked to my right in the direction of my house.

"That's where I live" I said pointing to the large white house.

"That's a big house, is it just you and your parents?" She asked as she looked across the yard towards my house. We had the second biggest house in the neighborhood since my mom was the second in command after the council leader Mrs. Rose.

"Um... actually it's just me and my mom." I said my tone neutral, I didn't want her pity. "I have a sister but she lives on her own, she actually works at school."

She nodded her head, "What about your father?"

"What about him?"

"Where is he, you said you live with your mom so where is your father?" I turned away from her facing the opposite direction. My anger started bubbling up inside threatening to come out. I felt raindrops falling on my face and heard thunder rumbling in the sky above. I looked up the sky had turned black and cloudy, lightning flashing across lighting up the dark skies. That only seemed to fuel my anger more.

"That's none of your fucking business is it now. I told you I lived with my mom you must have got the hint when I said that but apparently your too...!" I stopped myself before I could finish, god what was I saying it wasn't Kourtney's fault my dad had left us. "I'm sorry." I said facing her, she looked at me curious at my outburst.

"Wow you have some serious daddy issue's." She said laughing, i blushed dropping my gaze down to my boots. "Hey don't worry I won't bring it up again but we seriously need to work on your anger your emotions are all over the place and that's not good you might kill someone if you get too angry." She placed a hand on my shoulder for reassurance giving it a squeeze. "Don't worry Lucy we'll get you through this." I smiled glad she wasn't offended and still wanted to teach me.

Wait we, she said we? Who could possibly be the other person she was talking about. I couldn't sense no other vampires around.

"Let's go inside before it starts raining again, the weather here is insane." We both looked up as she said that, the sky was clear again it had stopped raining and the sun was shinning bright. Hmm... that is strange.
