Chapter 2 Part 3 Vanessa's POV ._______________________.

Ray was starring at Carol, and Carol was starring back. I smell something fishy here, literally, it smells like fish. I couldn't sleep yesterday because, well as you know, tomorrow is my birthday. The women in my dreams told me that I will start having changes in my hearing, my smell, all of my 5 senses and I will also run faster. That was a good thing because I am a horrible runner. Last night I felt really bad, I had a headache, all my muscles hurt, I was in pain almost all night and yesterday and I wasn't able to speak. When the pain left and I felt relief then my alarm clock went on. GO TO SCHOOL, GO TO SCHOOL,GO TO SCHOOL. I cursed under my breath and sadly woke up. I changed into a white shirt with a black sweater, blue jeans and my converse. I grabbed my stuff, drank a good coffee and headed outside.

Here we are now in the starring contest and I'm the judge. I'm still not used to the super hearing, super smell, super everything, but I'm trying. I didn't want to stay here to see who wins so I told Carol that I was leaving. When I was close to the school I heard, with my super hearing, a yell, I knew it was Carol. I ran to where I heard the yell and I saw two guys holding Carol and another two holding Ray. One of the guys that was holding Carol hit her on her head and she passed out with one last scream. I got so mad and ran to help her. I kicked the guys that had Carol where the sun doesn't shine, and let a loud growl. The others tried to get me but I fought all of them really easily, the neighbor was helping too, he fought the 2 guys that were holding him like a boss. The kidnappers ran to the van and left.

"Where did you learn how to fight like that?" I asked Ray while carrying Carol.

"That's the same question I was going to ask you"

" You never saw anything, nobody needs to know any of this"

"Ok. Do you want me to take her to the hospital?"

"No thank you, I will do it" then I left with Carol in my arms running.

"Help, please someone help me" I yelled getting to the hospital.

" what's wrong Vane, what do you...." Chris said running to me and saw Carol in my arms unconscious
" Carol! What happened to her? Bring her to this bed I will take care of this"

" I'm sorry Chris, I tried to stop them but I got there just when they hit her on the head and she passed out" I told him trying to hold my tears

" They tried to kidnap us and..." I started crying.

" It's ok Vane, she's fine." He said taking Carol to a room

" I will call your mom so that she can pick you up"

"No, it's ok, I will wait until Carol wakes up"

"Ok." He left to take care of his sister.

Four hours had passed. I cried, slept, ate, cried again and slept again but she hasn't woken up.Chris appeared on the door.

"She woke up, she has a concussion, so she doesn't remember what happened today, you can make her remember, just talk to her of what happen"

"Ok, thank you Chris"

I entered the room and saw Carol sitting on her bed with a confused face.

"Hi Carol, how are you feeling?"

" I'm feeling great, why am I here?"

"Well five guys tried to kidnap you, me, and Ray, the neighbor, but fortunately we escaped, unfortunately one of them hit you on the head and you passed out. Do you remember something?"

"Kind of but its really fuzzy and I had this weird dream, my life is weird"

" You say that to me"

"Vane you are so stupid"

" I learned from the best"

We burst out laughing, it's been a while since I laughed and it feels great.

"Can I go home already?" Asked Carol to his brother that was just entering the room

"Yes, you can but who is going to take you? I still need to work"

"Don't worry about that" I said " I'm going to call my mom to pick us up"

"Thanks Vane, I will let Carol stay in your house today and tomorrow, I don't want her to be alone and tomorrow is your birthday so, she will be with you all day and night"

I had totally forgotten that tomorrow was my birthday, I will be 16 and it will be full moon so tomorrow will be my first shift. I can't let anyone see me shift for the first time, my wolf will be in control and I don't know how I will act with other people around her.

" Yea, she can stay it will be exciting" I lied.

" Here, you can use my phone to call your mom." He gave me his phone

"Thank you"
