Change The Past

chapter 15 part 1

Vanessa's POV______

I don't really know how much time I've been in this hou- mansion, all I know is that I need to get out of here and fast. At first, my wolf was on my side at leaving but now, she really needs her mate. She keeps saying that, without him, she will die and she constantly keeps crying, saying that she miss him and everything.Now, my wolf is bugging me saying that we shouldn't try to get out of this house again and what stupid idea I mean, Why do you wanna leave your mate? in fact, she thinks is really stupid of me to of ever leaving him and that, I should be grateful because not all she-wolves find their mate. I have only one thing to tell my wolf 'Are you freaking blind?' i mean, doesn't she remember that he almost kills us?

' it wasn't his fault' Perla argues 'He didn't know that we were mates because of the stupid shield' 

'Wow, that really flatters me' i answer back 'So, if it wasn't for the mate bond, we would be dead already? i mean, he look really determined on beating the shit out of me'

i felt sadness, regret, and a bang of pain in my heart. 

'Just give him another chance, it was just an accident'

'HA! an accident? I don't wanna be with someone that is gonna have me scare my whole freaking life Perla. What if he looses with temper and this time, not even the matting bond saves us hu? What are we gonna do this time? Give him another chance because he messed up again? You know, i'm not up for all this trash. We were vampire slaves for a long time. We were birds without a cage for so long, how do you think my mo-' just thinking about my mom brought tears to my eyes. How might she feel? I haven't see her in what, eight months? I miss her. A lot. She might be in a lot of pain because she lost someone she loves again. After my dads death- I sob escaped my mouth. I shouldn't be crying. Not now. What of someone hears me? Then skylar will come and ask me what is going on. I don't wanna tell anything to that stranger. All he brings me is pain and sadness. When you are a slave, you learn that, trusting is not something on my 'to do' list. Because, once you trust someone, they break you from the inside out. I thought that Carol was gonna protect me but no, she left me to get marry. After all , her happiness was more important than my safety. 

' You should go to sleep Vanessa. Tomorrow is going to be a really important day and you need to be on your fullest.'

'okay' that's all i manage to say as i wipe my tears that found a way to fall from my eyes. I get under the cover and let sleep consume me.

I was running, from what? I wish I knew.  I kept running, something inside my head kept telling me not to turn back.  My legs were burning from the soreness. I've never run that much in my entire life, i think it's normal to feel your legs burn. I could hear steps getting closer, Which made me run even faster. Why the heck do I run? I don't remember how i got here. All i remember is running from something or someone. I hear the steps getting even closer. My heart beat quickens, if that's even possible. They are close. I turn left and see a tomb. How the heck did i end up here again? All I can see is a name ' Katherine Cullen'

I wake up with a gasp. Sweat was running down my forehead, arms and legs. My shirt was damp with sweat too. Is that normal? i sit up on my bed when the door burst open. I scare looking Skylar comes in and looks around my room. He looked ready to kill someone at any moment. Once his eyes settle on my, he seemed to relax. He walked slowly and cautiously towards me and sit besides me on the bed. He then did something I really wasn't expecting. He hugged me. I was taken back by his actions. Um... Who gave him the authority to hug me? I felt sparks going all over my body. Every inch that he touched from my skin was exploding like fireworks during fourth of july. I ironically and unwillingly ( Thank you wolf) hugged him back.

" I got so scared" he whispered in my ear " I felt your heartbeat quicken suddenly while I was sleeping. I thought someone had come in your room" his voice got deeper each word he spoke " I was about to kill that person. Even though there's know one in here" he chuckles at the end.

I let go of him and stood up "It was just a dream. Nothing happen. I'm fine."

"Baby, everyone knows that when a girl says that she fine, it means she is not. Tell me, what's wrong?"

"nothing you need to know about. Okay?" I said sounding a little harsher than i meant. He looked taken back for my acting and i saw a glint pain in his eyes which cause my heart feel a little of regret. "Just, leave me alone, please. I would like to go back to sleep" i lied. I could see that he didn't buy it but, he didn't argue about it, which i was really thankful for. 

He stood up from my bed and slowly walked out my room. Before he could close the door i called his name

"By the way Skylar," i said smirking " don't call me baby again." he just rolled his eyes and left my room. 

i went back to bed and think about my dream again. Who was i running away from? and, Who was Katherine Cullen?
