Song of the Chapter:
"Losers" by The Weeknd feat. Labrinth

"Can't Feel My Face" by the Weeknd

________________

I had gone dress shopping early with Samantha (who I finally had come in contact with) for the dinner Justin had invited me to. We picked out a light lavender dress for me, and Sam picked out a similar dress but in mint green. Samantha was going with Alex, Justin's friend, who had broken up with his girlfriend for her. Now, yes, Samantha is my best friend and I love her to death, but sometimes she can take things a bit too far. She was talking and bragging about him the whole ride home, and right when I was about to snap, Justin texted me.

Justin:
Ready for tonight? I hope you picked out something nice (:

I blushed lightly and Samantha caught me out of my daydream.

"Madison, are you even listening to me?" She shot me a quick glare before turning her attention to the road again.

"Yeah," I said. "Justin just texted me. Sorry."

She nodded and then kept talking. I replied to Justin.

To: Justin
I'm definitely ready. I think you'll like my wonderful selection.

He replied instantly.

Justin:
Like? I want to love it, not like it. You've disappointed me already.

I rolled my eyes playfully at his idiotic remark.

To: Justin
Well, whether you like it or love it, that's only for you to decide. Not me.

Then he called. What a loser.

"Hello," I picked up. "Is this Mr. 'I have to love it' Bieber?"

"Oh, hush yourself. I was being serious. I have to love it, babe."

I laughed lightly while my cheeks turned pink at his new nickname for me. Then Samantha insisted I put it on speaker.

"Hi, Justin!" She squealed, while making a left.

"Hey, Sam," he answered. "I heard you're going with Alex tonight?"

"Yep, that's right," she said, cheerfully.

"That's nice. Hey, Madison, I'm picking you up at 7. Is that okay?"

He changed the subject so quickly, obviously because he felt awkward talking to Samantha considering his best friend cheated on his girlfriend with my best friend. Thank God he didn't stop talking to me because of that.

Samantha looked at me. "You didn't tell me you were going with Justin."

"Surprise?" I shrugged, running my hands through my hair.

"Madisonnnnn," Justin called out.

"Hey, sorry. But yeah, that's okay. I'll be ready by then."

"Alright, good. I'll see you later then, cutie."

"Bye-bye, loser," I said, before hanging up.
