It was Saturday night, and Justin had invited me to a party he was going to.

Not your typical teen-infested party, but a sweet sixteen of one of his friends. We'd spent all day in my room, looking through my closet to find what the heck I should wear. We'd decided on a long-sleeved white crop top, with a white high-waisted short skirt to go along with it. With that, some white flats.

I didn't know how to do my boring, brown hair. I decided to wash it, and just blow it out with my hair dryer, to keep it wavy. I put on my outfit, walking downstairs. I put my phone in the pocket in which my skirt thankfully had. My mom and dad complimented my look, and my dad drove me to the place where the party was taking place.

Justin told me he'd meet up with me there, as he had to be there earlier to help set everything up. I saw his car outside, which let me know he was there. It was a little after six and the party had just began. I walked inside after saying goodbye to my dad.

I had made sure that it was okay with the girl, whose birthday it was, for me to attend and she gladly said yes. I opened the door to where the party was being held, and the music was loud. However, everyone's eyes seemed to land on me at some point.

I gulped anxiously, not knowing anyone. My eyes frantically searched for Justin, and I saw him walking up to me. He gave me a hug.

"You made it," he said. "I was wondering where you were."

I pulled my lips inside of my mouth, nodding while looking down.

"Are you okay?" He asked, assuming something was wrong.

I looked back up at him, my eyes meeting his. "Uh, yeah. I'm just kind of nervous."

He nodded. "I understand. Samantha's here, actually."

He led me over to his table where Sam was sitting, along with some of Justin's friends.

"Hey guys," he greeted. "This is Madison, a friend of mine."

They all smiled when looking at me, and a light hazel eyed girl spoke up.

"I love your outfit," she complimented. "You look gorgeous!"

I smiled, blushing a bit. "Thank you."

I sat down next to Justin and we all talked. The party was fun, and I danced with Justin as Samantha basically forced me to.

Justin drove me home at around 11, as we both wanted to go home. The ride was silent, until Justin spoke up.

"Are you sure you're okay? You've been awfully quiet all night." He asked, with a tone of worry in his voice.

"Yeah," I answered. "I was just a bit nervous, I don't really go to parties that much."

"Oh," he said. "I understand.

He parked in his driveway, and we both got out of the car. He gave me one last hug, and I buried my face into his shoulder, sighing.

"I'm always gonna be here, you know," he stated. "Just in case you ever need someone."

I nodded, pulling away from his embrace.

"Thanks, Justin. I appreciate it."

I walked to my house, opening the door to see the living room empty. I assumed everyone was asleep until my mom walked out of the kitchen.
