Apparently,  Jc is the only one who cares about meals in this house. He made a nice lunch, while the other boys snacked on chips before retreating to the depths of the Internet.

I sat at the counter, watching him cook. He was making grilled cheese the classic way while I twirled my phone in my hands. We didn't make much conversation, neither of us feeling the need to talk.

Eventually, Jc brought the pan to the two plates and put a sandwich on each. I picked up the knife and cut both in half as he put the pan in the sink. He turned on the water and watched as steam rose from the pan. His eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, turning his head and grinning at me. I giggled at him, keeping my eyes down.

My hair fell in front of my eyes and I hear him sit on one of the stools next to me. "Hey," he started. I looked up to meet his gaze. He looked briefly at my hair before reaching out and pushing it back behind my ear. His hand lingers on my cheek for a second, and I blush. I put my head down to keep him from noticing, and he pulls his hand away.

He slides one of the plates towards him.

"So, is there anything you want to do while we're here? Hopefully getting pizza at 2 a.m. won't be the highlight of your trip." He cracks a smile, picking up half of his sandwich.

I think for a minute, watching him take a bite. "Beach? I haven't been to a real one in a while."

He swallows before answering.

"Yeah, definitely. We were gonna go in the next few days anyway. What else?"

I rack my brain for things to do, my grilled cheese in my hands. I suddenly remember something, but it's probably a long shot.

"What?" I glance at Jc, confused. "Your eyes lit up, is there something you want to do?"

I chew on my lip, avoiding eye contact.

"Well, All Time Low is on tour, and I couldn't go when they came to Baltimore, but they're coming to L.A. next week..."

Jc drops his sandwich on his plate.

"Shit, really?! We're going, we're going, we're going." I look at him, surprised.

"Really?"

He grins. "Yeah! I listen to their music, and I can tell you love them. We're going!" He cheers, obviously as excited as me, if not more.

"Where are we going?" Kian wanders in, sitting scooting me over and sitting on the stool with me. I don't understand why, since there's another stool less than a foot away.

"All Time Low concert. And who says you're going?" Jc teases. Kian takes a bite of my grilled cheese.

"Uh, me? When is it?"

"Next week."

I rest my chin on Kian's shoulder, opening my mouth. He raises the sandwich up and let's me take a bite, putting it back on the plate.

Damn, Jc's a good cook.

"Oh," Kian turns his head so our noses are barely touching. "I talked to Andrea, she said she and maybe Arden or Jenn could take you to get some clothes later today if you want."

Kian and Andrea publicly started talking again recently, and now they're pretty good friends. I wouldn't be surprised if they got back together.
