Chapter 17

I finished packing my suitcase as the conversation the day before was still fresh in my mind, I could hear the rain drops hitting my hotel window yes it was a rainy day in Vegas and I had taken it upon myself to get a early flight back home I was going to leave them behind and then that would be it.....no more speaking to them or even thinking about them I was done.

I let out a sigh as I zipped up my suitcase then dropping it to the floor pulling the handle up, checking that I had not left anything in my room, It was really early and I know they would be still asleep so I knew I would not get disturbed by them. I exited my hotel room and got into the elevator and made my way down to reception handing my keycard into the desk clark and walking to the cab I had just booked a few minutes ago....

I put my suitcase into the trunk and sat in the back as the driver shut his trunk and got into the drivers seat.

"Where are you going Miss?"

"Airport Please as quick as possible"

He gave me a quick nod and turned his engine on and left the hotel parking lot, the sun was just rising over the horizon and it looked amazing, we soon hit the highway and was making our way to the airport.

"So how come you was here Business or Pleasure?"

"None holiday well to catch up with old friends"

"Sounds good I guess your from Boston with that accent?"

"Yes I am" I looked up to see the sign coming up to turn to go to Aaron's neighbourhood.

"Wait!!!! Turn up ahead I need to stop off somewhere first"

He turned off to exit the highway and I told him where to go and the sun was up by the time we got there, he pulled up outside Aaron's I saw Zak's car was parked up outside so although I did not want to see him no doubt I would have to now and they would not be happy if I wake them up.

"Can you wait here I won't be long I shall pay you whatever you want" He nodded.

I took a deep breathe and got out of the cab, slowly walking upto the front door ringing the doorbell and hearing it ring through the entire house.....I crossed my arms and stood at the door then I rung it again a few minutes later Aaron opened the front door looking very tired.

"Lisa what are you doing here has something happened.....do you know what time it is?" he then saw the cab at the end of his path.

"Come in I shall make us all coffee be quiet Zak is asleep on the sofa in the front room" I heard silent snoring coming from his front room as we made our way to the kitchen.

"So what is he doing here ?" I asked as I sat at Aaron's Island bar in his kitchen.

"We was reviewing footage and it got late so he slept over"

"Lisa are you going home without telling us?"

"Erm yes I guess so, I just you know"

"Thanks for waking me up!" Zak came walking in the kitchen stretching and his messy hair.

"Oh Hi leaving are we ?"

"No I just got here not going anywhere"

Aaron passed me a mug of coffee and sat next to me as Zak just stood there looking at us both.

"I'm going home seems I'm awake now see you later Lisa"

"You won't i'm going home" Zak stopped from walking towards the front door and looked at me.

"You You can't go not now I mean"

"Why do you think there is a cab outside and with that said I have to go......good knowing you all" I had to hold back the tears as I brushed past Zak. I rushed to the taxi and got in wiping the tears away from my eyes as the driver pulled off and we eventually made our way to the airport. No doubt they would be at the airport trying to stop me I just had a feeling they would, they would not want me to leave without a good excuse or explanation.

We arrived at the Airport and the driver helped me to get my suitcase out of his trunk I payed him and I went off into the airport I must admit I was looking around everywhere, but they was no where to be seen so I checked in and made my way to the departure lounge.

"Do you think I was going to let you leave that easily without you saying goodbye?" I froze and turned around to see Zak stood there.

He made his way slowly towards me until he was face to face with me his blue eyes looking into mine.

"I just want to go home now please, you can all forget about me and I shall do the same"

He placed his hands into mine and just looked at me not saying a word, I heard my flight being called I took my hands from his grip not looking back rushing to the gate I needed to get to....once I got on the plane and took off I did not even think of them for me that was over that part of my life was over Done and Dusted.
