Rich in MM.

After dinner, Emory and I head back to our dorm room. For once in the last few days my mind was off of Rich. When we get back to our room, I jump in the shower and get ready for class tomorrow.

As soon as I lay down my phone starts vibrating on my desk.

    "Seriously?"

I get out of bed and pick it up. There are three missed calls and about five text messages from Rich.

7:27 PM: What r u doin?
8:07 PM: Y u not answerin me?
8:25 PM: Missed Call Rich
8:31 PM: I guess u 2 busy 4 me now
8:45 PM: U really doin this rite now?
9:37 PM: Missed Call Rich
9:53 PM: Missed Call Rich
10:01 PM: Kay ima come up there if u don't answer me!

Has he lost his mind? I wish he would come up here.

Emory is sitting at her desk listening to music, so I decide to call him back. The phone rings and rings, then goes to voicemail. I hang up and call back. This time, he answers on the third ring.

    "What?"

"Excuse you? That's how we answer phones now?"

"Man what you want? I'm busy."

"Busy?" I'm taken aback. "You've been ignoring me for two days! What are you doing is that important?"

"Yeah like whateva you been doin' had you ignorin' me."

"Seriously? I wasn't ignoring you. I left my phone in my room while I was at the library doing homework and then I went to eat," I sigh. "Why are you doing this to me?"

I try my hardest to fight back the tears, but I'm unsuccessful and they roll down my cheeks. I wipe the escaped tears away and sniff.

He sighs. "Stop cryin'. I don't like when you ignore me. I be thinkin' you cheatin' on me or somethin'."

"And what do you think I think when you do it?"

"You know what I'm out here doin'. I gotta get this money."

    There is silence.

"So you weren't ignoring me?" I begin to feel guilty.

"I was at first, but I just got caught up and ain't had a chance to hit you back."

A small smile spreads across my face. "I love you."

    "I love you too."

My smile grows bigger. "I'm glad we got that out the way."

    "Right."

"Well I need to get some sleep. I got class in the morning. Good night."

    "Aight."

With that, he hangs up. A sigh of relief escapes my lips. I'm so happy we are talking again. I hate it when he's mad at me. Now I can get good night's sleep.

It's finally the weekend and my mom is coming to get me so I can spend time with her since I hadn't seen her since she first dropped me off. I talked to her some here and there throughout the week, but not too much with me stressing over Rich and trying to keep up with my assignments.

As I pack my bag for the weekend, Emory is sitting on her bed watching me.

"I wish I could go home for the weekend," she gives a slight frown.

"Yeah, it sucks that Orlando is so far away. You wanna come with me?"

"Nah, I have you to myself five days out the week. I have to share you with your family," she laughs.
