-Back to School-

Monday morning, as the sun shined through my window hitting my face. I blinked as the sun nearly blinded me, i rubbed them and sat up. I yawned quietly and looked on my nightstand seeing my alarm clock. 7:00AM.

I hopped off my bed and slipped into my fluffy slippers. I stood up and made my way to the bathroom taking my bath robe from its hook on my bathroom door. I entered the bathroom and turned the shower on.

After showering, i walked out with my bathrobe on and my hair all dried. I brushed my hair down leaving my long curls down. I walked over to my dresser and picked out my black skinny jeans and white shirt. I tied my hair into a high pony tail and then walked towards my closet picking out a black sweater for me to wear over it. I walked towards my dresser again making me pickup my glasses. I slipped them on then looked up at the mirror on my dresser. I smiled. As for all my years in high school, i've looked like a nerd since i first came to this school. I've probably been bullied at some points but at least i'm still me. I thought of maybe how my year would turn out this year
More bullies?
More friends?
Or even 'him'?
I highly doubt i'd meet a guy i would really fall for but at least i get to meet a few new people. I took my phone off my dresser and put it in my pocket. I turned around towards my bed seeing my bag sitting on the floor by my bed. I walked over to it and picked it up, swinging it over to my back letting it hang there. I fixed my glasses and walked out my bedroom door.

I walked down the stairs hearing my mom beautiful voice.
"Morning sweetie"
Her voice just always makes me smile every morning. I came down the last step making my way into the dining room seeing her lay down our breakfast. She turned to me and smiled.
"Hey breakfast is ready"
She said as i smiled and pulled out a chair and sat down. The scent of the food caused me to nearly faint. I smiled.
"Ugh! I need to cook like this!!"
I say as she chuckled and sat down next to me as i chowed down my food. I checked the time seeing it was 7:35AM. I always leave at 8:00AM. So i have enough time to talk to my friends before class starts. I fixed my glasses again as i ate my last spoon full. I took my glass of milk and drank it until it was half full. Then i felt something vibrate in my pocket making me pull out my phone. It was my friend Praise.

From Praise
P: where are you? I'm here with Dani and Katherin already!

I smiled and texted back.

J: i'll see you guys soon, don't worry
P: i can't wait to see you again!
J: well, it will still be the same old boring me
P: don't say that to yourself! Now get here as soon as you can ok?
J: ok bye

I put my phone down on the table.
"You can go early if you want"
Mom said s i smiled and stood up from my seat. I kissed her forehead and took my bag from the floor next to my chair. I walked over to the shoe rack and took my white Vans off the rack and slipped into them. I saw my mom walked over to me.
"Have fun on your first day ok?"
She said as i smiled at her and hugged her.
"I will,"
She kissed my forehead and pulled off.
"If you meet any new friends, i'll be happy to meet them soon"
She said as i smiled and swung my bag hanging on my back.
"I'm sure you will, bye mom"
I waved as she waved back. I opened the back door and walked out, locking the door with my key.

As i walked onto the school sidewalk, i was looking down while walking until.
"JAMIE!!!"
I heard someone yell as i looked up seeing Katherin, Dani and Praise give me a big group hug. I chuckled and smiled. I pulled off.
"Awe you look so cute in a beanie!"
Dani said as i felt the top of my head feeling my beanie. I smiled. Katherin and Praise gave me a good welcome back smile as i smiled back.
"Come on lets go inside"
Praise said as i nodded. They lead me inside as Dani held the door open.

Once again, walking in the Senior hallways. I never got used to it, i still feel like i'min junior high but Praise just keeps waking me up telling me i'm a senior now. I fixed my glasses as Praise showed me to my locker. She handed me a sticky note with my combination on it. I looked up and down from my lock and sticky note, just getting used to opening my locker. Then after the 5th time i left it open making me put my bag down on the floor, zipping it open, grabbing all my stuff and organizing them into my locker. After i finished i closed my locker and put my folded schedule in my pocket, taking my phone out. I walked back towards the girls as they were talking about something.
"Hey, whats up?"
I asked as they looked at me smiling.
"Well i've seen so many cute guys already!"
Katherin said nearly squealing as Praise and Dani did too. I rolled my eyes grinning.
"Since i just got here lets just walk around, getting used to where we're supposed to go, shall we?"
I asked as they all nodded. Praise took my hand as she dragged me down the stairs. They led me into the senior gym seeing boys playing, soccer, basketball and football. Praise pointed at someone as Dani and Katherin pointed at the same direction. 3 boys just sitting on the bench talking to each other. They were wearing muscle shirts making us see their big biceps. I chuckled.
"Isn't that, James, Damian and Zack? From last year?"
I asked them as they all nodded. I smiled. I love it when they see guys they really like. But i haven't experienced it quite yet. I used to have a crush on Damian but i knew he would go for someone else like Praise. So yea, i have no crush ever since 10th grade i had no crush ever since. So as the girls watched them on the bench i just decided to go to my locker and gather my things for my first class. History.

As i walked up the stairs, the bell rang making me run to my locker, opening it. I grabbed my binder and notebook and then put my phone in my backpack, which was hanging on its hook as usual. Then i closed my locker and headed into my first class.

I was sitting at a desk in the middle of the room as Katherin sat next to me. Praise and Dani were in Science right now so yea. As most of the seats in the room filled as the teacher walked in leaving the door open. I opened up my binder and fixed my glasses. I looked up seeing Mrs.Cathers sit by her desk just looking through some papers. Her voice filled the room.
"Ok class, we will begin in a few minutes, we'll wait for a few more kids then we will start."
We all smiled as she went back to her papers. I turned my seat facing Katherin as she smiled at me.
"Jamie, do you think James likes me?"
She asked as i smiled.
"Katherin, i've seen the way he looks at you, i know its the first day of school today but on the last day i saw him walk up behind you about to say something until he pulled away. He's probably gonna ask you out this year, who knows?"
I shrugged as she smiled.
"Awe thanks, i hope you meet your match too"
She said making me smile. As then after a few minutes, i looked up as i saw someone walk in. He looked up at the door number then back at his schedule as he smiled and looked around the classroom. My eyes were glued on him. His blonde hair in a perfect quiff, he was wearing a red flannel with a black shirt underneath it. He had blue eyes and a really cute smile. Oh. My. Lord.
His glance stopped at me as our eyes met. Then the teacher spoke up.
"Ok class take your seats and lets begin"
Mrs. Cathers said as i blinked and shook my head, snapping me out of my thoughts. Am i dreaming? I thought as i took out my pencil. Then, the boy took the chair in front of me and sat down facing the front. I could feel my face warm up. I looked down at my paper. Then i hear Katherin whisper.
"Awe,"
She said as she noticed me blush. I fixed my glasses and cleared my throat. I heard Katherin giggle making me smile. I am really shy when it comes to guys like him.
"Ok first we will take attendance, um John..."
She continued through the list as my eyes were stuck looking down at my paper.
"Jamie?"
She said as i looked up and smiled.
"Here"
I said as the boy looked back and smiled at me. I smiled as he looked back at the front.
"Ashton?"
Then the boy in front of my raised his hand.
"Here"
He said. His voice echoed in my mind. Ashton. I smiled and blushed.

After attendance, Mrs. Cathers wrote some notes on the board making me wrote word by word. Then the boy looked back at me and smiled at me. He looked at the seat next to me seeing it was empty as he stood up and took the chair out and sat down next to me. He looked at me.
"Hey, i'm Ashton"
He took a hand out as i looked at him and shook it.
"Jamie,"
I said shyly as he smiled. He's gonna kill me with that smile.
"Nice to meet you Jamie"
He said as he went back to note writing. I smiled and went back to write down the notes on the board.
