She sat calmly in one of the oak trees that covered Forent, this was one of her favorite spots. Away from other people, away from the drama of war, away from noise. It was so peaceful here, so far away from the Kingdoms Center, things here were calmer, much calmer. She didn't like anyone bothering her when she was in this state of mind, that's why when Jin walked up to the base of the tree she cringed.
"Hey Sint?" he called from below, "what is it Jin?" she asked sounding a little annoyed. "Um, Zaren wants to see you" she immediately jumped down from the tree and started walking in the direction of Forent Castle. Jin seeming a little sad she didn't really respond to him, he's been trying to get her attention for years and nothing has worked. He sighed and followed behind her closely and hesitantly.
"Hey Sint?" she flinched, "what Jin?" he looked down knowing she would just reject him like every other attempt but he gave it another shot. "You wanna maybe hang out later?" she sighed and didn't answer for a little while and Jin took the hint, "ok, sorry to have bothered you" he sighed and hung his head in sadness.
Sint knew he wanted her as his mate really bad but she ignored his advances because she was too concentrated on her work and other troubles to be able to hold her side of the relationship. She found Jin to be cute, nice, and a really nice guy and she would love to be in his arms but things in her life kept her from being with him. She'd often thought about telling him about it but things kept springing up and she had no time to explain to him.
"Did Zaren say what he wanted?" she asked him only to let him know she wasn't completely ignoring him. "No, only that he needed to see you, it didn't seem too important though" then he added quickly, "just to reassure you of course" she didn't respond as usual and he sighed.
"Sint? Can I ask you something?" Sint sighed heavily, "if it's about us being mates the answer is still no" he hung his head again. She felt bad for shooing him away so easily but there were too many things going on, especially at her home.

"You wanted to see me Zaren?" she asked as she walked into the castle, "yes I did, I am need of some advice" Sint looked confused. "You want advice from me sir?" he nodded, "I need you to give me some advice on what we should do if we were to attack Ditra while they're busy fighting Vinyash" she stood there silently.
"I think it would be alright, I just think that we would need to know where their SkyTroops were before we attacked them, we may be behind them but that doesn't mean there aren't SkyTroops waiting for us" he nodded slowly, "I see, will you send word to our commander about this? I would like to get his opinion as well" she saluted him before walking out of the castle a toward the commander.
As soon as she stepped outside Jin and her brother quickly ran up to her, Jin was hysterical, her brother was in tears and crying uncontrollably. "Sint! You must come quickly!" Jin grabbed her and started pulling her toward the direction he had come from. She looked concerned and ran along with her brother back to where they were, Sint had no idea what was happening but what she did know is that it couldn't have been good.
As she ran her heart seemed to have been beating a mile a minute, she was afraid and worried about what had happened.
She froze and everything around her seemed to go into slow motion, her whole world stopped as she stared into the consuming flames of her home and others. She heard the screams of pain from inside and knew what was happening, she ran toward the house but Jin grabbed her and kept her from going inside.
"Let go of me!" she screamed through her tears, "I can save them! Let go!" as much as Jin hated to see her this way he held her tightly and her brother was standing right next to her, still crying uncontrollably. She kicked and screamed trying to loosen Jin's grip around her but nothing seemed to work. Eventually she gave up and went limp and collapsed, curled up on the ground shaking and crying. Her brother collapsed on top of her. His chest wasn't moving.
She didn't feel the inhale and exhale movements like usual, in fact, now that she thought about it she didn't hear his crying anymore. When she looked over at him collapsed on her, as soon as she turned too look at her brother she noticed blood on her side. She looked further up at her brother, only when she got to his head did she notice the arrow sticking out of the back of his head.
She screamed and with one swift quick movement grabbed him and held him in her arms. She rocked him back and forth and mumbled to him and continued to cry. That had to have been the worst day in her life and that happened years ago.
