"Winlen!" her mother called, "time for you to get up!" Winlen groaned and slowly got up from her warm bed. "There's also someone here for you!" she immediately wanted to know who it was but first she needed to get dressed and fix her hair so it was to her liking.
She picked out one of her long sleeve black shirts and wears her favorite pair of blue jeans and wore the black fingerless gloves her father used to wear. She parted her hair so it covered her left eye, she liked it that way, she thought it looked cool.
She walked out of her room and into the kitchen and saw Kyzira. "Hey Kyzi, what can I do for you?" Kyzira walked in further and gestured for her and her mother to come with her and they followed her into the living room and she had them sit down across from her.
"We've received word that there have been some members of the kingdoms appearing to have black veins and one black eye, they say they are not to be trusted so if you see one please let one of us know" Winlen and her mother looked confused. "Is it a disease?" Kyzira shrugged, "we have no idea, there are some healers from the kingdoms figuring that out as we speak, as of right now no one has dared initiating a battle until we figure out what's going on with these BlackVeins as people have come to call them"
Winlen looked a little surprised, she had seen visions in her sleep about black veined people doing terrible things, she had to warn Kyzira before she left.
"Not only are they not trusted, they are dangerous and will kill just about anyone they come into contact with, they're sadistic" Kyzira and Trin looked at her in amazement and curiosity.
"Sadistic?"
"They take pleasure in harming others, but they all don't start that way or go down that same road of becoming that"
"What do you-" before Kyzira could finish a blood curdling scream rang out through the town, Kyzira immediately got up and ran out the front door, Trin quickly grabbed her daughter and kissed her head.
"Whatever's going on, I will protect you" and she held onto her tighter, Winlen hugged back and snuggled into her mothers soft fur and warmth and fell asleep in her arms.

Doqir, Lin, and Ponte all ran into the castle to find Emlin, only to find she wasn't there but instead Kilmit was sitting happily on the throne with grin at the sight of the three.
"Where's the queen?" Doqir asked sternly, Kilmit just shrugged and continued to smile at them. "Liar!" Lin snapped "where is she!?" she was getting impatient and wanted answers. "No need to get snippy with me Lin, I'd watch your tongue if I were you!" he snapped back, Lin clenched her fist.
"So where is she then?" Kilmit sighed, "she's in Vinyash discussing some, shall we say, 'territorial matters'" Doqir looked at him curiously. "Territorial matters?" Kilmit nodded, "you see some Vinyas crossed the border for quite a long time the other day and Emlin went to go talk to her about those 'territorial matters'" Doqir immediately knew what he was talking about.
"You liar! You told her that instead of the Vinyas being over the border for less than a minute you told her they were over for longer!" Kilmit's smile got wider, "now you see what I have done, and now you will see the fall of the kingdoms as we get stronger and conquer more of your pathetic subjects" Kilmit laughed a little.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about the BlackVeins"
"What about them?"
"Don't you see?"
"See what?"
"I'm one of them" Doqir face palmed as he finally caught on, it made sense because Kilmit was a black lab no one could see the veins on him making him the perfect subject of sabotage.
"Now that I've revealed myself I think it's time the towns folk have heard of recent death" Doqir looked over at Lin and Ponte. "Recent death?" Kilmit stood up from the throne and walked down to them.
"Or should I say, deaths" they all got wide eyed and slowly started to back away from Kilmit as he pulled out his long sword from its holster. He was smiling widely Doqir looked around at the DogGuards that weren't interfering only to find they had all been killed in some gruesome way. One had it's sword shoved down its throat.
"Kilmit please don't do this, we won't tell a soul!" Lin pleaded but knew there was no use in trying to persuade the infected Kilmit.
"Doqir?"
"Yeah Lin?"
"Since we're going to die, I just wanted to say..."
"Yeah?"
"I-I love you Doqir"
"I love you too Lin" and Doqir grabbed her hand as they continued to back up. Suddenly Ponte ran over to the DogGuard with the sword down his throat and grabbed the sword and pulled it out with a wet sshhhiing and charged toward Kilmit.
The swords collided and Ponte shouted "get out of here! I'll hold him off as long as I can!" and again the swords parted and hit each other again. Doqir pulled Lin toward the castle door and ran out into the snow, running as fast as they could away from Kilmit.

"This is fascinating, just fascinating" Lilliar said as she studied the effects the black venom had on some of the Slithers. "Your venom appears to have some connections with the BlackVeins, you must be careful not to bite anyone" she looked a little worried.
"What happens if I said I had bitten a few members of other kingdoms"
"Like who or what?"
"Like a black wolf or dog from Wintile, and I think a gray Grasen Cat"
"Then I'd say they're done for, they probably are more into the disease than anyone we've tested but we must keep you and them under surveillance to make sure they are contained" she nodded in agreement.
"So I'm going to be stuck here until this thing is figured out?" Lilliar nodded, "I'm sorry Rewva, but we must make sure no one else gets infected by this disease" she sighed, "yeah I know" she slithered away from the bars of the cell she was put in.

He wiped the blood of the blade with his tongue, he was somewhere not even the queen knew. He smiled as he heard more screams and yells of displeasure rung in his ears, every one they infected would soon become one of them and they will rule Nigh.
"Lenver" a calm female said as she walked up to him, "we need more space, it's too crowded in here for our experiment" Lenver growled, his teeth filed down to sharp points.
"We will get more space, first we need an army, then we can get more space, in fact, all the space you could ever want my pigeon" he set the blade down on the table in front of him. "But Lenver, darling, we need to at least expand some of this space if we want to raise an army, not an animal farm or slaughterhouse" Lenver turned and looked at her.
"Honey, baby, we will in due time, for right now we must get the ones we have already into the state we're in and then expand our space when needed, alright?" she sighed and looked down. He lifted her head up with one of his hands, "my darling pigeon I promise, everything will be fine, you just wait and see" she felt a little bit better and they both leaned into each other for a kiss.
