CHAPTER THREE:
Guardian of Love
Your POV:
“This is amazing! Woaaaaah.” You said as you spun around the room. “Hey, hey. Calm down (y/n).” Jack chuckled. “That’s how I felt the first time I got here.” He added and I looked at him. You know what, he really looks… cute. “So (y/n),I hope that Jack and Yetis treated you well?” Santa said. “Well, I do love being shoved in a sack and tossed through a magic portal!” You said sarcastically. “Oh, good. That was my idea!” Jack said and gave me a wink. HA-HA funny.
“Enough with the chitchat.” Santa aid then looked at me. “I am North.” He said and guffawed. “I’m sure you’ve met Jack Frost.”
“"Bonjour, mademoiselle.” He said and bowed to me. “Since when did you become French, Frosthead?” You said mocking his French accent. “Ha! Frosthead, good one (y/n).” The Easter Bunny said and chuckled. “Thanks.” You said and looked at Jack; he just glared at you in annoyance.
“This is The Sandman or Sandy.” Sandy then waved his tiny hand at you. “Wow, you are so cute.” You said to Sandy and he just stood there wide-eyed then blushed. “The Tootfairy, Toothiana or Tooth.”
“Hey there (y/n). I hope you’re brushing your teeth.” She said to you and you just smiled at her. “And lastly, The Easter Bunny, Bunnymund.”
“Hello mate, a pleasure to meet you.” He said and extended his paw to you. “A talking kangaroo?” you joked around with him. “Ta-talking-HAHHAHAHA-Talking Kangaroo?!” Jack laughed hard. “That’s waaaay better than kangaroo alone.”
“Oy mate, it ain’t funny.” Bunny said to Jack and you just gave him a playful wink, you were kinda giving him the –we’ll-get-him-good-next-time.
“Now (y/n) do you accept Man in Moons offer to be a new Guardian. The Guardian of Love?”
“Um…” you looked and gave North a heartwarming smile. “Sure, it is for the benefit of the children and people around the world.” You said to them and they all cheered. Jack just gave you a thumbs up.
“Okay! Music!” North cued the tiny elves. “No Music!” You and Jack said in unison and the elves stopped playing. One grumpy elf smashed his trumpet on Jack’s foot. “Ow! Hey! What about her?!” Jack said and rubbed his foot then pointed his index finger to you. “You won’t hurt me, right?” You said to the angry elf then petted his head. “Oh come on!” Jack grumbled then looked at North. “Not my fault elves hate you.” North said with his big eyes. The elf then shook his head and smiled at you. He suddenly hugged your hand and cuddled it. “Thank you. Bye-bye now.” You said to the elf and he waved at you, he then looked back at Jack and gave him an ‘I’m watching you’ gesture and left the room.
“He’s adorable. They’re adorable.” You said and smiled at Jack.
“They are annoying and gullible.”
“Uh no. You are annoying and gullible.”
“Annoying? Yes, I agree. But how am I gullible, huh, (y/n)?”
“You just are.” You said then gave him a swaggering smile.
“Alright, enough bickering you two.” Tooth said. Both of you stopped then glared at each other.
Jack’s POV:
“I believe I’ve found myself another worthy rival.” I said to her and gave her a playful grin.
“Oh you’re on Frosty.” She said cockily.
“It’s already on little girl.” I gave her a comeback.
“Little-what did you ca-?”
“Okay okay, if you two won’t stop arguing, we will send you both in one small room.” Bunny said seriously.
“What? But HE/SHE started it!” we both said in unison.
“Stop copying me!” We both said in unison again.
“No, you stop copying me! Ugh!” and again.
“Look, I don’t care how many times you’d copy me girly, but you can never copy the number of kids who believe in me!” I yelled at her. Wait, that wasn’t right.
I saw her look down to the ground. She was heartbroken… because of me. “(y/n) I didn’t mea-”
“That’s it! Jack… behave… we’re sorry (y/n). Jack didn’t mean to say that. Let’s head off to our rooms now.” Tooth chided me. “Come with me (y/n), I’ll take you to your room.” She added and held (y/n) shoulder. Tooth then looked back at me and glared. North just shook his head in disappointment. Sandy gave me a frown and Bunny, well his face was pretty much mad at what I had accidentally said to (y/n).
I hate myself right now.

Your POV:
“Look, I don’t care how many times you’d copy me girly, but you can never copy the number of kids who believe in me!” That line keeps on replaying in your head. It hurts… so much. He was so inconsiderate. So full of himself! He never even cared about your feelings towards the fact of you being invisible to the children. “It was such an-”
“Insensitive thing to do. I know.” A voice said and went into your room. “Great, you are insensitive and you have bad manners as well. Have you ever heard of knocking before entering someone else’s room, Jack?” You said coldly to him.
“Look, if I’d knock and tell you that I wanted to come in, would you open the door or much less let me in?” He asked you. “I didn’t think so too.” He added and creased his forehead. Jack has a point though. After what he said, seeing him would be the last thing you’ll ever do. You just shrugged off at what he had thought. He then sat beside you cross legged. “(y/n), I’m sorry.” He started. “I didn’t mean to say those words. I lost control and I just said idiotic and stupid, not to mention careless things.” He sincerely looked at you with his pleading blue eyes. “I hope you can forgive me.” He added and held your hand. Your eyes became watery, not because of his remorseful speech but because of the fact that what he did say is real. No one believes in you. You suddenly bolted towards Jack and hugged him tightly. Tears began flowing form your (e/c) eyes. “Hey… shhh… don’t cry. Everything’s alright.” He said softly then stroked your (l/h/c) hair. “I… you’re right…” you sobbed. “No one… no one does believe in me.” You said then buried your face into his cold yet secure chest. “Don’t say that (y/n). Stop crying please.” He said delicately and suddenly kissed your forehead which left you in shock. You didn’t say anything; all you did was cry until you fell asleep. Though you did realize something that night… you realized that you are in love with him. You are in love with Jack Frost.
