Chapter Nine

The Ice Queen

Your POV

You are back in your room with your two precious friends.

"So Jack suddenly left?" Jane asked with her index finger curled below her chin, "and the song was about not falling in love cause it'll just break your heart huh..."

"Sounds like Jack had a tough break up." Dianne thought. Yeah, maybe he did. What you felt when you saw him was no mistake. He was in pain. Depression and loss.

"You know, (y/n), I can access Jack's lovelife." Dianne suggested.

"Well, yeah, we could do that. But that's invading someone's privacy. I think it's rude." You told Dianne. You wanted to do it. Curiosity was tempting you.

"If we find out the root cause of Jack's problem, we can help him. We'll talk to him about it." Jane pointed out, "You know, sometimes, people just want to sit down and talk about it."

The three of thought hard about this. And then you finally spoke, "Okay, we'll do it. All we need to know is the person's name, address, and what happened to their relationship. Don't include those really private stuff, if you know what I mean, Dianne."

"Yes, of course. Give me a few minutes." She replied.

This is actually like stalking. Jack Frost is childish, inconsiderate, sometimes stupid and rather rude. You weren't expecting him to feel that way for someone. The impossible's sometimes possible.

So Dianne was quiet for ten to fifteen minutes until she finally said, "Okay."

"So?" Jane was waiting for her to spill out the details.

"Elsa of Arendelle. She's the Ice Queen. Like Jack, she possesses ice powers..." she started.

"Oh, I can see he's attracted to her now." You spoke softly. It was supposed to be a thought but you accidentally blurted it all out.

"Is (y/n) jealous?" The raven-haired girl teased you as she nudged your arm. You weren't affected by her tease. You were actually amused.

"You're kidding, right? Jack's not my type. He's waaay below my standards, Jane." You laughed.

"Elsa was like a normal human being. At the age of 35, she told Jack to leave her alone since knows she will grow old and pass away. Jack doesn't age for he is immortal like all the other guardians. And so he did as he was told. But despite that, Jack was secretly looking out for her. He continued on taking care of Elsa and keeping her safe from a distance..." Dianne paused.

"That's really sweet of Jack, honestly." Jane eyes were tearing up, "Oh, star-crossed lovers..."

"On Elsa's last minutes, she was sitting on a bench outside of the castle. She was waiting for someone to visit her. Someone special and dear to her-"

Jane interrupted Dianne, "So Elsa felt the same way..."

Dianne continued, "Jack appeared in front of Elsa out of nowhere. She complimented him about looking as dashing and as young as ever. Jack told Elsa that she's always beautiful. She will forever be beautiful in his eyes. The Ice Queen just smiled at Jack and thanked him everything he has done for her. She told him that she had always known that her guardian angel was looking out for her. Elsa again thanked Jack and told him she had loved him, still loves him and will love him forever. Then, after that line, she closed her eyes, smiled, and went off for a new, eternal adventure."

Jane was crying at the tragic love story between Jack and Elsa. It was sad one. To think that Jack had to go all through that.

"That... was so beautiful." Jane shed more tears.

"Wow. That was just... wow." Dianne was lost for words.

All you could say was, "Yeah."

Elsa must've meant a lot to Jack. Well, you're Cupid. You have to help that guy. It's part of your duties. But you're just not sure how.
