CHAPTER THIRTEEN
Little Secrets
DIANNE'S POV (For the first time in forever~~)
"She's on her way. She has blond, straight hair and blue eyes. I think you'll recognize her by her bright and bold choice of colors." I told both of them.
"Let me guess... does she resemble that one character from mean girls?" (y/n) said, a bit disappointed.
"Holy crap, she's a walking barbie doll!!! Dianne, are you serious?!" Terence sounded quite annoyed, having to include my name in that sentence. It seems that pink is not his favorite color. Well, I can't blame him. He's a fall sprite. He has these muddy warm hues all over his body. Even his hair, underneath his pumpkin head mask, is somewhat dirty blonde. I think I may have chosen her just because they're total opposites, which is honestly cute since opposites attract... but in this case, it's repelling. I'm not always right at match-making, only 99% of the time. This little miscalculation here is that 1% we speak off.
(y/n) started laughing, to which Terence was embarrassed about and in the corner of my eye, yes I have one, I could've sworn I saw someone hiding behind the trees. We might have a stalker and I can clearly tell who.
"So, no go on Lucy then?" (y/n) asked Terence. She added, "You know, darling, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover."
"BUT SHE'S PINK." The boy replied, his arms were thrown up in the air. "She's my total opposite."
"Which is probably why Dianne included her as a possible love interest. Right, D?" She always knows what's going on in my head. This is why I love (y/n) as Cupid.
"Exactly." I answered, "But, it's okay if you won't pursue her, Terence. You still have 3 more candidates."
"I thought I had four?"
"I mean, yes, sorry. Four more girls are available." I corrected myself. It wasn't really a mistake though... he does only have three and that's because one of the girls don't exist... or should I say, is not real... sort of.
"Alright then. So, Madison Goldstein, Hanna McKelsey, Cindy Stone and Emilia Lockhart are your four lovely options." (y/n) informed Terence. She even wrote down their names. She's truly remarkable.
"Emilia sounds sweet." He said. I didn't think he'd chose her so soon.
"Sorry but Emilia is the farthest one, she's on the other side of the world so you're better off choosing either of the other three for now." I lied. They nodded and Terence began thinking about who to pick next.
Emilia is the girl that is sort of real and not real. It's a made up name. I don't know how I should tell them about her. But I'll find some way.
"For quite some time now, I have noticed someone watching us. Don't let your guard down." I told (y/n). She gave a look that was more on the 'bring it on' side. I assumed she'd be worried but I guess I was wrong. My mistress is quite the fighter. She nodded, winked at me and said thanks.
"By the way," I caught their attention. "Hanna and Cindy also go to this school," I told them.
"Well, there you go. Seriously, Terence, I doubt that neither of those girls wouldn't be your perfect match."
"We'll see, (y/n). We'll see."

JACK'S POV
"Since when have they gotten so close?" I said under my breath. I've never recalled (y/n) ever meeting the guy though unless I wasn't there. Now that I think about it, I haven't been to North's shop for quite some time. Anyways, that's not normal for little cupid to do. The whole prioritizing one person's love life over the rest of whoever else needs it the most in this world. i seriously doubt there won't be one. I mean, I'm pretty sure someone's dying right now, because he or she is not with the one they love, since little Ms. Cupid here had to help out the desperate, lonely sprite.
"I think you just sound jealous." A voice said from below. I was on top of a tree branch, hiding. No, I'm not spying. I'm just merely in the same area as them. I kept quite and not say a word.
"I know you're there, Jack." The voice spoke once more, "It's me, Dianne. (y/n)'s magical talking necklace."
I slowly peeked below me and saw her, hanging on a twig.
"What happened?" I asked, perplexed at why she was alone.
"Oh, you know, just hanging around."
Weird. I've never heard the necklace crack a joke before. I asked her seriously, "What really happened?"
"I simply asked (y/n) to hang me here while they talk to the other two girls in the school." She explained. Although it doesn't make sense, since (y/n) should need her necklace.
"And why did you want to be separated with her? I thought she needed you." I told her. It really is strange of her to ask such a request.
"So I could talk to you. I knew you were here. I just didn't know why." She then asked, "Why are you eavesdropping on us, Jack?"
"I wasn't! I was just merely in the area."
"Okay."
"Okay?"
"Yes. Okay." She said nonchalantly.
"That's it?" I asked her, confused.
"Yes."
"Um. Okay." I exhaled. I somehow feel relieved and irritated at the same time for some unknown reason.
"Did you hear about the six girls?" She broke the silence between us.
"Yeah. What about it? I'm pretty sure he'll find someone out of those six choices." I told her.
"There are three left."
"I'm pretty sure (y/n) said four. You even corrected yourself." I said. In the corner of my eye, I could see Terence and (y/n) coming out of the school's doors. Terence had a disappointed face on display and it looked like (y/n) was trying to cheer him up.
"Just three. Well, now there's only one left. It seems like the two girls did not work out."
"You guys are doing good, though." I tried cheering her up, "You're narrowing it down to whom he should be with."
"That's the issue. All that's left is Madison and 'Emilia'."
"What's wrong with that?"
"Madison has the lowest score when it comes to being his match. She has a 49.5% success rate." She sounded annoyed.
"Well, then I guess you guys would have to travel half way around the world for Emilia then."
"No. We don't have to. Emilia is here." She didn't sound happy at all.
"What's with that tone? Isn't that great news?" I cheered her up. It is though, isn't it?
"You don't get it." She sounded stern and worried at the same time, "Emilia Lockhart is a made-up name."
"Why would you make it up? You're giving him false hope."
"Emilia is (y/n)."
My mind went blank.
"Emilia is an alias... so that they won't know."
