Norman's Melody

No regrets

Norman wrapped an arm around my waist pulling me close to his body. I smiled up at him and then turned back to my best friend taking in this huge moment. Gwen stood there completely frozen and her eyes widened. It almost looked like she wasn't even breathing and I was preparing myself at any minute to catch her just incase she fell backwards. Andy smirked and started walking towards her. I noticed Gwen begin to shake as he got even closer. He now stood infront of her and grabbed her hand,

"It's very nice to meet you sweetheart, I'm Andy"

Her eyes widened even wider as he brought her hand to his lips and placed a soft kiss ontop of it.

"Gwen" she squeaked.

He smiled and asked,"so what do you say? Will you be my date for this evening?"

He lowered her hand and smiled at her while we waited for her response. She just starred at him, shaking, and not saying anything. As we all awaited any type of response from her, but there was nothing. I knew she had to be starstruck, she was probably fighting against everything in her to not scream. When she did make a move, it wasn't what I expected. Instead of squealing and jumping into Andy's arms, she jumped back from him and grabbed my hand pulling me out of the kitchen forcefully. I looked back at the guys and shrugged as they looked at me confused. Once we were out in the hall she turned me to her quickly. My eyes widened when I saw her appearance. Her eyes were widened, she was shaking, and breathing extremely quickly. I thought at any minute she would pass out. She gripped onto my arms tightly as she looked at me,

"Mel what am I supposed to do?"

"What are you talking about?" I laughed.

"I'm serious!" She exclaimed.

"I don't see a problem here! Andrew Lincoln is in the kitchen right now asking you out on a date, what are you doing out here?" I chuckled.

"Cause I can't do this!" She exclaimed.

"Why not?" I asked.

"That is Andrew Lincoln.aka Rick Grimes...aka the man my whole life is based upon! If I mess up with him, which knowing me I'll probably do something embarrassing, and he will hate me!" She cried.

"Gwen calm down. You won't do something stupid. Andy is a sweetheart and he will make this night magical for you if you let him...just be yourself." I smiled.

"Myself is not enough" she whimpered.

"You're more than enough Gwen."i smiled.

"You really think so?" She asked.

"I do" I nodded.

She smiled widely as I put a hand on her shoulder,"now let's go back in there so you can have the best night of your life"

She smiled and hugged me tightly. Once we pulled away, she took a deep breath as we walked back into the kitchen. The guys looked over towards us and I felt Gwen flinch. I rested a reassuring hand on her shoulder. She turned to me and I smiled. She nodded and walked up to Andy as norman made his way to me. We both turned to watch the two. Gwen took a deep breath and walked right up to Andy who was leaning against the counter. She smiled,

"I'd love to be your date tonight"

A smile spread widely across Andy's face. Norman brought me into a warm embrace as I watched my best friend live out her dream.

"Guys! The show is about to start!" Chandler yelled.

We all looked at each other and smiled as we headed for the living room. We took a seat on the couch and turned up the tv. As the countdown to season 6 ended, I took this moment to look around the room at who surrounded me. How weird was it about to be to watch these people on tv when they are sitting right next to me? Mingus nuzzled his head into my neck as norman wrapped his arm around me. Looking over I saw Andy had his arm wrapped around Gwen and she had the biggest smile on her face. A smile I have never seen so big. For once, she didn't have to worry. She was in her dream world. We both were. I was happy, truly happy. I wasn't scared. I felt safe and it's all because of the man next to me. A few hours later everyone began to leave and Mingus had gone to bed. My heart was still fluttering in a way it never had before. I felt more drawn to norman than ever before. As we were saying bye to everyone Gwen turned to me,

"You ready?"

I looked back at norman who smiled. I smiled back and turned to her,"nah, I think I'm gonna stay here for tonight"

Her eyes widened as she looked from me to him,"oh ummmm ok??"

I smiled as norman wrapped an arm around me tightly. She smiled back and then at arm wrapped around her shoulder.

"I'll take her home" Andy smiled.

I smiled gratefully to Andy as he led her to the car. The second the door closed, it was like I lost all control of my body. I turned in Norman's arms and brought his lips to mine and kissed him forcefully. I caught him off guard, but he got just as into it as I did. Moving from my lips he backed me up against the wall and attacked my neck. Once he reached my spot I began to moan and I heard him chuckle into my neck. Gripping my hand in his hair I forced his lips back to mine hungrily. Losing all control, my hands started to lift his shirt and was off of him in seconds. His hands started to roam my body and stopped behind my knees. Squeezing, I took that as my cue and jumped up wrapping my legs around his waist. Our lips haven't separated as we started to move down the hall and within seconds I found myself laying on his bed with him hovering over me. I felt his hand start to lift my shirt. I knew this was wrong, but at the moment I didn't care. I wanted this. I wanted him and I didn't want this feeling to end. For once it was like I wasn't sick, I had never felt more alive. Norman pulled his lips away and looked down at me,

"You sure about this?"

I looked up at the beautiful man on top of me. I had never seen a more beautiful sight. He was looking at me like I was the only girl in the world. Like I was everything to him. I smiled and brought his lips back to mine and started kissing him hungrily. It was in that moment where I decided Dr. Roberts was right...I needed to live my life. No questions asked and no regrets.
