"What are you doing here?" Jason said as the door behind him closed.
"Oh, I asked Emily to help me with my music."
I stood there with my pencil in my right hand, staring at Jason. Probably because of how shocked I was.
"Wait. She knows music?" Jason eyed me from head to toe with that annoying face of his.
"Her dad owns a record label! The Winston Star Records! The one that we wanted to join! How cool is that?" Uh-oh. What if they're the next ones to throw themselves at me to get in touch with Dad? Great. Just great.
"I know. I met him before. For training. And I always saw you, Emily. But you never came into my recording studio," he knew ME before we met HERE?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME.
"Because I didn't want to disturb you. Anyway, I had other things to do than to linger in your recording studio all day," I replied with that I-don't-give-a-shit face.
"So... since you know music, can you help me then?" Wait what? Help him? Never in a million years.
"Let's make a deal; you help me with my band's music and I'll help you with Korean," sounds like a good deal. But I wasn't sure about this.
"Okay. On ONE condition; you have to buy me frappé."
"Wha-" his shocked expression was priceless! I'm like laughing internally right now (HAHAHAHA OMG HAHA).
"I was just joking. You don't have to buy me frappé," I was still laughing at him and then YoonJae joined in. I could tell that Jason was really pissed now.
"Meet me at the library at 7:30pm," Jason said before leaving the music room.
"You really know how to make people pissed, huh," YoonJae said, still laughing.
We then continued improving his music until around 5 and left to get some food. We went to Starbucks to get the frappé I wanted before heading to McDonalds to get a meal.
After that, we walked back to school and I said farewell to YoonJae before going into my dorm. As I entered, I saw Sophine on the study desk, sleeping. Her homework was lying everywhere. That was when I carried her, even though I nearly dropped her, back to bed and put her blanket on her. I tidied up her desk before going to the toilet to take a bath.
-----------------------------------
I already reached the library, holding my Korean textbook and my studies notebook as well as my phone and other things. I also bought iced coffee for Jason. I searched for him everywhere in the library but I couldn't seem to find him. That was when I saw a guy in a black hoodie and skinny pants putting his head on the table. I knew it was him. I nudged him a bit to let him know I was here already.
"H-uh?" His head rose from the table. His face looked very sleepy. And yes, I can tell. He must have slept here after he left the music room, waiting for me to arrive.
"It's me. Didn't we agree that if you help me with Korean, I'll help you with your music earlier?" I slammed my things on the table and dragged my chair from the table and dropped onto my chair and put my face right in front of his.
"What are you- AH!" He then saw me and fell off his chair as he screamed. I tried not to laugh but for situations like this, you just have to laugh as hard as you can.
"Oops. Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you haha," I was still laughing as I said that.
"Right." He then stood back up and picked up his chair and sat back down.
First he started with Korean lesson, so he taught me all the basics of Korean language, INCLUDING the alphabets. And for the first time, he taught me properly. Like, REALLY taught me. Looks like the iced coffee that I gave him kinda woke him up.
After around one and a half hours later we then started on Jason's music. He asked me so many things; how's the rhythm, is the melody suitable, does the harmony go well with the melody, should he change the mood of the song, etc. I didn't know he would be this serious in music. Well, probably he's in need of a person to help him, that's why.
"Should this note be changed to a quaver instead of a minim? Or just crotchet?" He was confusing me. And he's doing a good job continuing to make me confused.
"Um... make it two quavers, so it makes up one crotchet beat," at least I tried.
After all those confusing score editing and composing, we finally head back at around 10:30pm as the librarian chased us out.
Jason unlocked a bicycle from the bicycle bay. I'm guessing he's gonna ride back to school.
"So... I'll see you tomorrow in class then," I said before turning to walk.
"Wait, you're walking back to school? Don't you know how tiring it is? Our school is on a freaking mountain, you know," He looked worried again.
"It's time I lost some weight, huh," but, even when I said that, he didn't take the bait.
"Get on," he looked at me, smiling. Wow. Since when was he as kind as now?
"Well okay, then. Uh... where do I sit?" Jason tapped on a metal rack. I then sat on it and held Jason's waist. I totally forgot that Jason and I were "just friends" and I literally rested my head onto his back. Shit. Now what will he think of me now? Great. Just great.
He then parked his bicycle and walked me back to the dorm, since he knew that I was super tired and might just drop anytime. Fortunately, I reached my dorm and the minute Sophine opened the door, I fell onto my bed face first. Tomorrow was going to be another school day. And tomorrow Jason will be in every class that I'm in. More trouble for me then.
