Small chapter. Will update again this  weekend. I have a bit more free time.

Taking advantage of it 😉

Much love ✌️❤️

Andy's P.O.V-

"You know I can hear what you're thinking back there?" Alaric glanced at me through the rear view mirror as he drove.

I was seething.

"I'm aware. I just thought that you were such a fantastic tracker that's all..."

Ace turned around and glared at me. "Watch your mouth, 'king'."

"Stop it Ace." Alaric warned and he turned back around, snorting.

"Andy is worried about Crystal as we all are."

It grew silent and I rolled down the window and lit up a cig. Hah. A smoking vampire.

Alaric and Ace started to mumbled back and forth to each other and I tried not to pay attention.

Was Crystal scared?

"What was that?" I was suddenly distracted from my thoughts, catching something that Alaric said.

He looked at me again through the rear ire mirror. "You remember how Crystal blocked out her memories?"

"Yes."

"I think she can block me out. Some how... It has something to do with her gift."

"I'm gonna have to ask my parents to watch Asher for longer than expected aren't I?"

"I'm afraid so Andy. It's what's best for him. What's safest."

I sighed long and deep before I pulled my phone out of my pocket. They were going to have to take him back to Cincinnati for the time being and I wasn't even going to be able to see him before he left. I wasn't going to say anything to Crystal until she was in her right mind or she'd probably go even more ballistic.

My mother was a bit surprised to get such an early morning phone call. It was going on 4am but she was already awake with Asher who I could hear cooing in the background.

I told her that we were in some trouble that only we could get ourselves out of and I needed her and dad to take care of Asher for a little while. She immediately was ok with it even though she was worried about us. I assured her that we would be ok and that we just didn't want anything to happen to the baby.

Of course my father wanted to talk to me before I hung up. He wanted to know if there was anything he could do to help. I assured him helping with Asher was the only thing he could do. He was weary I could tell, he hated not knowing all of the details when it came to situations like this.

I was glad that Asher was only a few months old so he wouldn't know what was happening.

When I hung up with my parents the car stopped. "It had to be done." Alaric said before opening his door. He knew how I was feeling. I felt sick.

My son would be going with my parents and I had no idea where Crystal was. I felt alone even though I wasn't. I just wanted them.

Ace got out of the car and then so did I. We were parked out behind an unlit building. One small dim streetlamp along the street beside us was all the light there was.

I was suddenly happy that I was now able to see in the dark.

"What are we doing here?" I asked quietly.

"Someone is inside the building... I can hear them whimpering. And do you smell that?" Alaric asked, holding up a finger.

"Blood." I answered.
