Prologue:

Rhia's POV/

I sat waiting at the bus stop, I could have walked, but I was honestly too lazy, and I didn't want the wind, the tire and possible sweat to ruin my hair & makeup. I was auditioning for X-Factor and I wanted nothing more than to become a professional singer. It's all I ever wanted.

But I could feel the strain in my chest, I was getting nervous, and that wasn't very good for my heart condition.

"You'll be fine, just remember your lyrics, act confident, you'll be all good" I said to myself quietly, trying not to look like a creep around all those people. I shut my eyes, the crisp wind floated around my lips, it was cold today, even though it was summer, the sun was out and everything, but the wind was chilly, didn't do much for my outfit, I tell you.

I was wearing a crop top, high waisted shorts, stockings and bright red boots. Auditions weren't for a while yet, in fact, they were tomorrow. I just wanted to get in the line quicker.

Finally, the bus pulled up, I grabbed my bag, putting my contents back in it and folding it closed. I was about to stand until I felt this sharp, heavy pain reach my heart. I collapsed to the ground, though it was already heavy and being pushed on with impressive force, I still, in downright panic, held my heart as If it were to explode.

Oh shit.

Shit shit shit.

No one had even noticed, until I heard someone call out "...Is she okay?"

I looked up and saw people were starting to crowd around me, I hadn't noticed but I was screeching out in pain.

"Do you know what's going on, dear?" An old man asked me.

I took deep breaths (well, tried to) and tried to speak.

"I-I have a heart condition." I managed to wheeze out.

"I'll call an ambulance." someone from behind me yelled, walking away a little to make the phone call. I moved my head, the old guy was trying to comfort me by saying things like; "It will all be okay," and "An ambulance should be here soon."

But I could feel myself slipping, black and dark colours were coming in from the sides of my eyes, I looked up, which was from where I was lying, across the ground.

I could see people walking, people rushing, so many feet, they were so lucky, they could walk, and move, and run, I was just stiff. My whole body went numb and all I could feel was the agony in my chest, it almost felt like a hundred-tonne truck had just landed on my chest, it was tight, getting worse by the minute.

I was literally suffocating by my own heart, which was basically trying to kill itself.

I tried to breathe deep, just like what doctors had told me to do over the years. But it was just like school, they teach you what to expect in the real world, but as soon as you get there it's completely different. I had never experienced a heart attack before, I didn't know what I was doing, and it soon got to the point where I couldn't hold on any longer... I had to let go...
