I'd been awake for hours, just looking through baby photos I'd found in an album.

Jayden was still asleep, I hated him. I was so jealous. It was about 7am now, I was still repetitively flipping through the same photos over and over. I was so bored, there was literally nothing to do. I couldn't leave though, I had to make sure Jayden was okay, there could have been harsh side effects if I hadn't done what I was supposed to do properly. I stood up finally, realising as long as everyone was asleep, I could basically do whatever I wanted, as long as if everything was left the same. I walked into the kitchen, I never actually knew the kind of diet Jayden had, well, I had a small idea, but it was interesting finding out more about him, it was something that happened all the time, everyday. I opened the fridge, plenty of vegetables and fruits, meats, etc. Jealousy struck me yet again and I hated it. They could eat and taste whatever they wanted, and here was me who couldn't.

"You hungry are you?" I heard a voice from behind me.

I jumped, "John! You scared me!"

He chuckled, "Here, you like toast?"

He found some bread and a toaster, looking suggestively to me.

"Sure." I nodded.

He smiled and prepared it, while I sat on the stood under the bench top.

"Um, thanks." I smiled half way through the waiting time of it cooking.

"Oh you're welcome sweetheart, it's all good!" He smiled, making coffee, preparing everyone else's plates and everything on to the table.

He handed me toast and a knife, as well as a heap of different spreads to choose from.

"Thank you." I smiled politely.

"Say, Rhia, where do you live?"

I froze at the question. Shit*

"Nowhere."

Crap. I didn't mean to say that.

"I mean, I mean, S-Sydney."

John gave me a stern look, as if he didn't believe me.

"Really? Where abouts?"

He was smart, and I wasn't.

"Uh-P-Parramatta." Was the quickest place I could think of.

Come on, like I could say 'Heaven'!

"Who do you live with?"

"My family." I nodded.

He raised his eyebrows, nodding as I nodded.

"Jayden told me you were homeless?"

"Oh, well, h-he was joking!" I laughed, trying to make a joke out of it.

"Listen, Rhia, if you have no where to go..."

"Yeah! I've always wanted a sister!!" Mia came in, running and jumping on to my lap.

"You can always stay here." He nodded.

"Yeah! We will give you everything!" Mia flung out her arms.

Just at that moment, Kerry walked in.

They all seemed to get up at the same time, this family.

"Where's Jayden?" She asked us.

Mia pointed towards the living room, giggling with happiness, getting her hopes up.

Kerry walked towards the living room, but before she made it to the door, Jayden came out.
