Oh no.
He wants to know more about me. What do I do? What do I say? Do I lie? Do I say the truth? AHH I DON'T KNOW!!!
"Uhh...I guess we...umm...should....haha" I replied. I'm so scared. What if he asks when I moved here or something? What do I even say? I feel like I'm having a panic attack inside...
I turned my head and saw he was looking at me.
"What's with the look?" I asked him. Did I look like I was going to pass out? Cause I felt like I was going to...
His cheeks turned a slight shade of pink. "Uh...no reason..." He replied with a slight grin.
"What's with the secrets, Gray?" I started poking his shoulder. "Huh? Huh?" He laughed and poked my cheek.
"You're so adorable, Chloe." I hate that he doesn't know my real name. But if I tell him now then he'll get mad at me for lying to him. I just don't want anyone to figure out I'm related to Adam.
"So, getting to know you..." He started. "Did you just move here? Because I've never seen you around."
And there it is. The atomic bomb of questions he could ask me. I have no clue how to answer him. If my answer isn't believable, then that's the end of this.
"Oh...uhh...yes I did..." I answered.
"Where did you used to live before?"
"New York City." I said, naming the only place I visited in my lifetime.
"What's it like there?"
"Well, there's lots of tall buildings and tons of people..." I answered.
"Not that part!" He said with a playful glare. "I meant like the experience."
"Oh well...it's really crowded and loud so unless you're okay with that it's awful." I said with a laugh. "But I loved it there..." I said, remembering when I went there...
***FLASHBACK***
My parents and I went to New York City for Christmas. I love it here! I don't wanna go back to South Carolina! I wanna stay here forever and ever and ever...
"C'mon Liz, hurry up." I heard my mom say. I caught up to her and she took my hand.
"Liz, we're going to go see the big Christmas tree! Are you excited?" My mom said to me.
"YES!!!!" I answered. I was so excited. I was skipping down the sidewalk while still holding my mom's hand. My dad came and grabbed my other hand. Then, I started to swing while theyheld me above the ground. It's so much fun! It feels like I'm on a swing set! But without sitting on a swing! I feel like I'm flying.
Eventually, they put me back on the ground. I pouted. That was fun. I didn't want to stop.
"Liz, turn that frown upside down!" I heard my dad say. I giggled. It's funny when he says that! It almost sounds like a song without music.
We kept walking for another few minutes.
"Mommy, my feet hurt." I whined.
"We're almost there, sweetheart."
"Okay." How far was this tree? I feel like I've been walking for a long, long time. Is the tree that special? How much farther is it? I'm so curious about it.
Eventually, we saw the lights that looked like Christmas tlights. That must be it!
"Mommy, daddy, look! It's right there!" I said. Then I started running towards it.
