It was long and painful, waiting for the Impala and of course Sammy to get back. I just freaking wanted the car jeezuz! But no... Of course Sam just had to come back over the weekend with an almost empty tank of gas, one more thing for me to do!

My heart pounded in my chest every inch I got closer to school on Friday. No, that's not 'technically' the weekend but it felt like it. I pulled in and stopped the engine, hopping out of the car and walking with a slight kick in my step.

"Cas!" I noticed her at her locker but like a damn phantom, she was gone before she even saw me!

I cursed under my breath and then continued on to my other classes, patiently awaiting last period.

Finally! Finalllllllly it came. The last period. My foot tapped on the carpet impatiently and my furious clicking on my pencil tip on my desk drove everyone around me mad. It helped me think I guess though. Hmm... Who woulda guessed?

I stared at the clock. The red hand was five seconds away from touching the 12. Yes, I though silently in my mind.

Bing binnng

"Cas!" I shot right up and walked towards her. Everyone else was shuffling quickly out of the room.

"Oh... H-Hello." She replied quietly. "C-Can I help you?"

"Yes actually. Grab your stuff and meet me in the back parking lot." She gave me a suspicious glance but it softened and she nodded a little.

I practically raced out of the room and to my locker, grabbing the last of my belongings. I sprinted to the back lot, waiting for Cas.

"Dean?" I heard a voice say and Cas had her book bag strapped over her shoulder. Today, her hair was pulled up out of her face and some strands strayed from her ponytail, curling gently around her face. She still had a slight limp but it looked much better.

"Hop in." I opened the passenger door for her then went around the car to get in my own seat. I slid into the leather back, my hands fitting into the worn-down wheel of my Impala.

She looked at me with a strange expression I couldn't tell. Fear? Excitement? Anxiety? I didn't have a clue.

We drove for a long while with minor put stops. It was sundown by the time we got to where I wanted to be. It was part of town nobody visited.

I grabbed a blanket out of the trunk of the Impala and slung it over my shoulder. I approached a little taller than two story building with Cas on my heels.

"Now, you need to trust me." I smiled mischievously.

She looked at me then nodded slowly.

I glanced at the building. The fire escape ladder was above 8 feet up and I'd have to jump. I took a deep breath and leapt with all my might upward, grasping the bottom bar with one hand. I grabbed fast with my other and yanked myself up. I reposition ripens so that I was sitting on the ladder, which was on bolts out of the walk far enough for me to stick my legs through.

I extended my hand downward. "Trust me, okay...?" I said gently.

She reached up but pulled her hand away a little. Then she put it back and grabbed my hand. I hoisted her off the ground. Now it was awkward, I was holding onto her around her waist and it felt a little uncomfortable to me but she was smiling brightly. Dammit she's so beautiful especially with a soft pink sunset sky behind her.

I pushed her up the ladder above me so that she could climb up. Then I climbed up after her. I came over the lip of the roof, hearing her gasp in awe.

"I-It's beautiful...." She breathed. I took my place beside her, pulling the blanket off my shoulder and setting it down on the dirty roof.

"It'll get better trust me." I smiled a sidelong glance at her and sat down on the blanket. She soon sat down too. Now it was getting even darker. Re stars had begun to glow and I laid on my back, looking across the dazzling night sky.

Cas was beside me. Her hair was now out of the original ponytail and it was laid out neatly across the blanket. Her blue eyes reflected stars from the sky above, their blue depths had a contentness to them that was indescribable.

I didn't know what happened next. My brain made moved for me I guess. I put my hand by my side but my hand ran into Cas'. Without warning, I laced my fingers in hers and I saw her flush a bright red though it was dark.

A little while later I had dozed off a little. I was still awake but not as aware. My fingers still held onto hers and I heard little noises. Shivering? I listened more. Yes of course! It was 75 degrees ousted but now it had dropped to like 50. I took off my green jacket and laid it over her upper body. Cas looked at me, confused.

"Aren't you going to be c-"

"No... I'm just fine. I don't need you to be freezing out here." I smiled.

"Thank you." She said warmly. I laid back down and she shifted right over beside me, laying her head against my chest.

I felt tingly all over. It was great. She was great. Everything was great.
