Cas

That night I stayed up all night watching over Dean and holding his hand. He looked peaceful and he kept looking at me with this strange expression and I just kinda laughed at him under my breath. I sent Sam home to get rest. He needed it badly and he told me he'd been up for days studying. And ever since that kiss where Dean was kinda just laying there, I felt awkward. I didn't know if he thought more highly of me that 'friends'.
In the morning, I woke up sitting in the chair, my head resting on Dean's arm. Apparently I fell asleep somewhere around 3:00 AM. I smoothed out my hair and Dean's eyes flicked open slowly. The corners of his mouth pulled into a soft smile as I tangled with my hair.
"It looks fine." He mumbled softly, raising one hand to wipe a strand from my face.
I blinked and closed my eyes as he ran his finger across my cheek.
"Cas..." He started.
"Yeah?"
"I don't want to be in here any longer. Hospitals are depressing. I want to be out and about with you rather than cooped up in this stupid old place." He said.
"I'll see what I can do. Your nurse should be in soon." Just then, the door creaked open and a blonde lady stepped in.
"Hello Cas. Dean." She nodded to each of us. "Dean you seem to look much better today." She said encouragingly. I remembered that her name is Teresa.
"When am I going to be let out?" He asked politely even though I knew that he was urging to just get up and run away.
"As soon as I assess your wounds and give you medicine, you should be gone, okay?" He scribbled stuff down on a tablet. She asked me to leave for a couple moments and then opened the door, smiling gently.
"You should drive." She laughed and handed me his keys to the impala, which Sam drove over for him.
"Caaaaaaaaas!" Dean said a while later. He was changing into normal clothes so that he could come home.
"What is it now?" I smiled. I walked through the door as he was slipping his shirt on. It was a black V-neck like usual.
"I just wanted to know that you're ready. Let's go." He smiled.
I led the way down to the impala and hopped in the drivers seat. "Dean get in the car." He was standing outside it like a lost puppy.
"Why can't I drive?!" He whined.
"Dean, she told me I should drive. You're still on meds. Don't make me pull you in."
Dean groaned lightly and opened the passenger door, scooting in.

Dean
"Ehem... Can I help you with something....?"
I was staring at Cas again. I don't know why I did that but I always did.
"No no. You're fine, just keep driving."
We got to my house and I hopped out of the car. The engine died out and we walked up the porch stairs and through the door, which oddly, was unlocked.
I turned back. Cas was outside the door. "I-I should have Luci come and pick me up..."
"No. You should stay, Cas. Please." I replied. I didn't want her to go yet. Not yet.
"Dean... My family is probably wondering where I am and I have school work and other stuff like laundry an-" I rolled my eyes and leaned forward and pressed my lips to hers.
"You went from ringer off to max volume in one weekend." I said when I pulled away. I wrapped my arms around her waist.
She just stared at me, smiling lightly.
Silence. It was confusing. I didn't know what to do so what do you think I did? Good guess, I kissed her again.

Cas
Why is he doing this? Why does he care about me so much? I'm normal! I'm pretty but normal! Below normal! What kind of person payed him to do this?! Was it my mom? I bet it was my mom....
I looked at him. More like stared into his very green eyes. They were so beautiful and I shrieked a little in my head.
Then I bit my lip and turned away, ready to walk down the porch steps. I felt arms around my waist and soon I was being lifted off the ground against my will and dragged inside. I landed with a soft thump on the couch. Dean sat on me.
"Deeeeeean!" I furrowed my brow.
"Now you can't leave hmmm... What a shame." He smiled. He stood up and I sat right side up on the couch. He pulled my hands over and soon I was snuggled into his chest and almost asleep. Not what I planned on doing but it was very comfortable.
At one point we were watching TV, my head resting on a pillow that he put in his lap. He was stroking my hair from my face.
"Cas."
"Hmm?" I mumbled half asleep. I flipped over so that he was looking down on me. He leaned down and kissed my lips while my eyes were closed. They snapped open but I relaxed.
"I just wanted to say that I love you, Cas."
"Dean... Why are you choosing to be in love with me when there are others better than I am? I'm just confused."
"You're different Cas. A good different. And I love you for that." Dean said, his green eyes sparkling.
"Thank you. No one has done anything like anything for me before." I laughed.
"I know. But you have the right to feel special."
I sat up and burrowed my face into the crook of his neck. I ended up spending the night there in the guest bedroom because I didn't feel like having someone pick me up. Tomorrow was only Wednesday.
