Dean dropped me off at my 'house' and I wandered to my bedroom. My little sister and my older were sitting on the couch fighting over the remote.

"Give it back Gabriela! I'm older than you!" Luci hissed.

"Well I'm just a child you should respect me!" Gabriela took the remote back.

"You should respect your elders!!!" Luci got up and took the remote from Gabriela.

I stood there and rolled my eyes.

"What does pip squeak want?" Luci challenged, she's always mean. Her blonde curls fell over her shoulders like the prissy brat she is. She's my twin sister, though we look nothing alike at all.

I nodded politely and paced down the hallway to my room. I shit the door lightly behind myself and flopped onto the bed. It was late, I soon realized... But it was Friday so I had no where to go anyways.

I heard the door creak open as I laid with my face up towards the ceiling.

"Hey Cas!" I felt Gabriella amble up onto the bed beside me. She was only in sophomore year where I would graduate after this year.

"Hello Gabby." I said awkwardly quiet.

"Where have you been?" She asked, tipping her head to one side.

"Oh just... Watching the stars... For a uh.. Project." I nodded. "Don't you have a test tomorrow?" I just wanted the little stick out of my hair.

"Oh yeah! I got to go study! Bye Cas." Gabriela left and left the door straying open. I grunted and closed it.

Dean

"Listen to me Winchester! You touch that girl again and I'll have your head." A jock had me pressed against the wall, his hand clamped over me mouth.

I bit his finger. He pulled his hand away quickly. "God dammit Chase! Really?" I stared him in the eye.

"She's a special one. And I would have won her over if you woulda brought her to that stupid old playhouse!" He snorted.

"That's no reason. She doesn't need to be taunted okay? She wants her feelings cared for." I snapped back harshly, swallowing an even sharper reply in my throat

A fist hit me over the side of the face. That. Was. It. I took my knee and swung it upward, hitting Chase in the 'down under'. Some people started to show up at the sides of the alley I supposed that they wanted to watch the fight. It was after school the following Monday.

Chase held himself and then came at new brutal fist clenched. I ducked under the punch and went down to punch him in the gut. He caught me on the back swing and I fell to the ground, winded. I breathed heavily, feeling blood trickle from my lip and my eyebrow somewhere.

I gulped as a shadow came over me. Worn out and beat, I waiting for the hit to come.

I walked along the paved pathway. There was herds of kids walking down the alley I needed to cross. There was shouting coming from down in and I entered, keeping closely to the wall to avoid others.

My chest exploded when I saw the commotion.

"Dean!" I instantly reacted, my heart lurching. It wasn't even me. I would've never done this... But I did. I pushed through people and into the fighting circle.

Chase had his fist extended ready to come down on Dean's head.

"Stop!" I screamed and sat down beside Dean.

"Move, cutie, I'll deal with you later." Chase said.

I glared at him. "No." I said firmly. I laid my head over Dean's. They wouldn't hurt me.

"I said m-"

Sirens... Sirens!! My heart jumped.

"Hey!" A cop shouted and started to escort people away from the fighting. They forced everyone out of the alley except me.

I sat right beside Dean and looked at him. He was unconscious and my heart ached.

"Dean....?" I whispered. I drew my finger over his cheek and moved some stray hair from his face. I leaned my face down and kissed his light pink lips, small tears falling onto his face.

"Ms. You're going to need to leave." The cop laid his hand on my shoulder gently.

"I-I'm not leaving him." I swallowed hard, a tear rolling down my face.

"Well we are taking him to the hospital. I will see if you can ride along in the ambulance."

Much later I say in the waiting room. A boy with long dark hair entered the room frantically asking every person where his brother was. I watched him.

"Dean Winchester." He replied when a nurse asked him the resident.

I immediately stood up. I approached the much taller boy. "S-Sam..?" I asked, knowing that Dean had a brother.

"Yes. Who are you?"

"I-I'm Cas... A- a good friend of your brothers'." I smiled a little. I can pretty much tell I was lying but we weren't official yet, though he's done so much for me.

Sam raised his eyebrow and smiled. "So you're Cas?" His smile lessened. "W-were you there?" He gulped.

"Yes... I couldn't let him get beat by Chase... So... So I um... Protected him."

Sam let his eyes gaze over me. "I see. Thank you. We should see when we are allowed to visit."

I nodded slightly and we approached the front desk.

"Any visits available for Dean Winchester?"

The lady nodded and led us down the hallway and up an elevator, then down two more hallways. It felt like forever before we actually got to the wooden door.

It was only three feet away from me but I felt like it was slipping further and further away ever moment I stood there.

"Cas." Sam snapped me from my thoughts with a gentle hand on my shoulder. I took a deep breath and the lady opened the door.

The smell of hospital room filled my nose and I almost started crying on the spot. There he was. Asleep I guessed.

I wandered over, running my hand through his hair. His green eyes flicked open and looked wildly like he was scared, but then they relaxed.

"Hello Dean." I smiled, and without notice, his hand latched onto mine. My fingers twined with his and I smiled down at him. He's safe. I let out a long breath.
