It had to be now a goddamn heatwave hits...
We'd waiting for a long time for warm weather so we could swim in the lake on the edge of town in the tree clearing. And now Dean wasn't here to see it.
Ariel POV
Cas cried more in the later days, it was like he was finally starting to realise... That Dean hadn't much of a chance.
Dean POV
Why couldn't I just wake up, I was alive in here... I wanted my best friend to know I was still here... I wanted to see him in school. But I didn't know how to control it, and I couldn't push through.
Cas POV
I was commonly kept company by a nurse named Hannah who strayed in and out... Well she was a medical student about a year older than me.
Dean didn't like her... Or I got the feeling he didn't anyway there was something strange about him when she came around, as if he was rolling his eyes or huffing as he did.
Hannah didn't know who Dean was to me... She probably thought us brothers or something, one things for sure.. She was friendly...
And the way she spoke made it obvious she thought I was straight.
Until Lucifer and Gabriel...

"WALK ONTO THE WARD LIKE WHADUUP I'M KING OF HELL"
Lucifer chants swaggering in to the hospitals coma ward and over to where I sadly sat with Hannah watching Dean sleep.
"Cas you sonovabitch how's it going?"
"Deano looking fine as ever"
Gabe laughs coming to stand over Cas as he sat.
"I know you care Cas but you should come home... Mum's worried"
He continues waiting for a reply.
"I'm staying!" Cas snaps at his two brothers.
"I can't leave him Gabe... You know I can't"
Hannah remained oblivious... Gazing out of the window.
"Oh this is Hannah" I introduced loudly earning a smile from her.
"Hannah, Gabriel and Lucifer, my brothers." I continue.
"So you all have angel names..."
Hannah laughs
"All but Anna, she's the lucky one" Gabe giggled pulling up another chair and gesturing for Luci to do the same.
"Ahh I see"
She whispers.
I make a grab for Dean's hand,
"Cas have you even eaten" Lucifer nags.
"I don't need to" I shake him off briskly still reaching out.
"Cas it's not healthy!"
"I DON'T CARE! I NEED TO BE HERE FOR... when he wakes up"
I break down sobbing overwhelmed by the subject once again.
"It's fine Cas..." Gabe pats me on the back firmly.
"I just... Love him so much... I need him to come back..."
I sobbed now and Lucifer came to stand beside me for comfort.
"We know Cas, he'll miss you too" Lucifer sings ruffling my head of raven hair.
"Not like... I miss him..." I sniffle trying not to let my tears fall.
I hardly notice Hannah also come closer towards me and lay a hand on my shoulder.
"He's lucky to have a friend like you" she hums pleasantly, with a clear element of flirtation.
"Friends don't sleep in the same sleeping bag silly-" Lucifer barks humoured but is soon silenced by Gabriel's hand over his mouth.
I feel myself blush a dark red...
