"Oh don't be a tease, you naughty boy." The Rani aimed a distinct wink at The Guardian.
"So..." She continued.
"I'm presuming you'd like to know why you're here? As fun as it looks, this plan was a century in the making. My skin hasn't aged a day and thanks to no prattling morons like you, Doctor, it's been a pleasant couple of years." The woman in red glanced at the frowning Scotsman.
"You're always looking so grief-stricken, Doctor. Why? Is it because of the lives you taken? Perhaps it's that whirlwind of devastation and destruction you bring with you wherever you go. The way you simply puppeteer the lives of hundreds and continue to cut the strings of their lives over and over. How many so-called 'companions' have you had now? Fifty? Sixty? Each and every life you've dismantled and disfigured."
"Lies!" Sarah-Jane cried.
"He hasn't destroyed my life, he's made it so much better and-" The Rank viciously interrupted Sarah-Jane.
"Ah yes, the hag of Bannerman Road finally speaks; welcome to the room Ms Smith. You've become so hooked onto his lifestyle that you think you're some sort of 'earth defence squad' running your little after school club for the local hooligans." The red queen cackled and continued.
"You're pathetic, Sarah! Running round with your granny handbag and your 'sonic' lipstick taking down Slitheens and Sontarans. Let's be serious, it's not that hard to take down a bag of methane and an oversized spud, now is it? Oh, and what about your absolute garbage excuse for parents?"
"That's enough." The Doctor attempted to stop the foul mouthed woman.
"No, Doctor, I insist. Edward and Barbara, wasn't it? What a travesty. Left you in the hands of the Trickster then drove off."
"Please just stop." Sarah-Jane wept a tear of sorrow, however retaining her stern facial expression. She violently brushed the tear from her cheek, but The Rani spoke no remorse.
"Drove straight down that country road directly into a tractor, pulverising your parents on impact. So tell me again, Sarah, The Doctor has made your life better has he? Without his involvement you may not have been an orphan. You wouldn't have been cast away to Aunt Lavinia's house, forced to sleep in that bedroom with the clown that danced, as the thunder and rain lit the midnight sky. You wouldn't have witnessed your best friends death from that pier in 1964. Are you remembering now, Sarah? Andrea Yates, that was her name, wasn't it?" A smirk cast amongst the devil's face. The Rani proceeded to take off a piece of her jewellery. A silver band incrusted with an rhodolite gem glistened, a beam of light danced upon every surface. She held the ring up high with her thumb and index finger. Just as the Scotsman attempted to examine the band, she tossed it towards the entrance of the console room. Just like the globe, a light clink echoed through the vessel. The Guardian joined The Rani with a simplistic smirk. A construction like no other began to form in replacement of the doorway. A mulberry coloured mist flooded the entrance allowing little, if any, visibility. The smoke slowly cleared leaving, what seemed like, a wooden archway. An aquamarine, transparent haze formed within the middle of the structure, swirling round in a rotating manner.
"You see, Sarah, this is where it gets interesting."
