You and Nathan had been in a relationship for 5 years, it was your 5 year anniversary and you thought it was time that you got engaged, except Nathan won't ask you so, you decided that you would 'pop' the question.

You got everything set up and ready. Dinner, Candles, Music, the actual lighting, literally everything, just as Nathan walked through the door. He looked at you and smiled before noticing that the dining room was set up for dinner.

"Go get changed Nathan. I'll wait for you here." You say as he then notices that your dressed up.

He nods as you wait for him to get changed. When he comes down, he wears a suit and takes your hand as you go into the dining room.

"Babe. What is all this? I mean, why? What's so special tonight?" He asks as you look at him, eyes full of hurt.

A massive grin appears on his face as you look at him confused, "Baby, I'm joking. I didn't forget. How could I forget our anniversary?" He says hugging you and kissing you head as you smile.

"We'll have dinner in a bit. Come outside with me a minute." He says as you take his hand and follow him outside.

You both look up at the stars as Nathan starts to speak.

"5 years has gone by so quick (Y/N). I don't know where the time has gone. Your eyes shine everyday. You're always smiling and happy. Even when you're not happy. You always put on a brave face. Not for your sake, but for everyone else's. You always put everyone else before yourself and I love that. I love the fact that you care for everyone else before you care for yourself. I love that you're so open minded and beautiful. You're never afraid to say what you think and you're so strong. We've been through so much. YOU'VE been through so much and I never wanna lose you. In fact, I'm afraid to lose you, (Y/N). So..." He trails off and you look at him.

You see that he's gotten down on one knee and he';s holding out a ring to you.

"Will you marry me?" He asks as the tears start to fall from your eyes as you nod and kiss him.

"Yes, and will you marry me?" You say as he nods and kisses you.

"Yes." He whispers as you exchange rings and smile before kissing and hugging again.
