An hour later

Talisha stood in front of the vanity mirror in the bathroom of her hotel. She stared at her reflection long and hard. After what seemed to be a twenty minute shower, she wrapped a white towel around her curves. The sound of relaxing jazz music was still playing from her phone from Spotify. Talisha removed her shower cap from her curly tresses and sprayed her hair with that had water, olive oil, and conditioner mix together that was in a spray bottle. Her curls responded well to the mixture as she sprayed her hair lightly. Being in the hotel made her feel like she was practically on the edge of depression. Things could have been worst and she could have been sleeping in her car. But after she moved out of her own apartment to live with Malone she never experienced being kicked out. She always had a place to call home no matter what was the circumstance. She picked up her cell phone and dialed Raymond's number. Neither her or Raymond had spoken, since she was kicked out of the hospital. She wanted to in a way, explain what really happened to him now that time has passed.

Raymond's phone was on the third ring when he answered. Talisha walked back into the bedroom of her room and took a seat on the edge of her plush queen size bed.

"Hello?" He answered with a lot of laughter and music in the background.

"Hey, it's 'Lisha it sounds like you busy Raymond do you want me to call you back?"

"Damn, 'Lisha I answered your call 'cause I have some time to run it with you. I would have never answered if I couldn't. I don't know what's up with you?"

She stood up from the edge of the bed and started to pace in front of her bed. "Okay, I didn't know. I just assumed that."

"Alright, so what's up? You cool now? Do you want me to come over there and see about you?"

Talisha looked up at the ceiling and said, "I am good. I was acting out earlier, but trust me I am good. I would like to have some company over. If you don't mind. Where is Farea'?

"Alight, I believe you just as long as you don't knock me off my crutches...I mean my feet. Just text me your address too. Farea' is going to be spending the whole night with her grandmother. She with Salen right now for a little while."

"Mmmhmmm...I would like to see you, but we aren't doing a thing. I still feel like you was not keeping it 100 with me when we got together. You brought me around your daughter and now your so-called ex. girl is pregnant too for you. I deserve a man who knows that I am worth telling the truth too."

Raymond lowered his radio down in his car even more and said, "It just wasn't that easy as you make it sound. My daughter was getting attached to you. Salen the woman you calling my ex. girl had a whole lot of skeletons in her damn closet. Now we can either meet up and talk this shit o0ut like adults are call it quits. I been told you that I have no problem letting you stay in my house. Salen has her own crib, so you wouldn't have to worry about no bullshit."

"Oh, so things are going to be push away like it's all good? I left Malone alone when we started our lil' so-called relationship. I left him alone and kept it real with both of you."

"'Lisha, text me your address cause I really don't have the patience right now to be fussing with you over the phone."

"Mmmmhmm....Raymond, bye."

She hung up in his face and paced around her hotel room. Talisha was torn between frustration and relief. Seeing Raymond was surly something that would pass the time, but they had to first talk out their differences before they could move forward with anything.
