***Tristan's POV***
"How's everybody doing tonight?"The crowd went wild with cheers and screams.
"I'll take that as good!" Adam says into the mic, "Now I would like to start off the night with a special guest."
The crowd gets even louder. Everyone chanting his name.
"Okay, can everyone please give a warm welcome to Tristan!"
My heart beats louder and harder. I step onto the stage, bright lights flooding my sight. After my eyes adjust I see tons and tons of people, all of them screaming my name. I step up to the mic.
"Hey," I stutter, "I'm Tristan and I'm gonna sing you all a song. So here's my new single More Than You Know. I hope everyone enjoys it!"
Everyone chants and cheers. The roaring of the fans in the stadium almost defining.
I hear a strong guitar begin its strumming.
Then everything went black.
--------------------------------------------
My eyes flutter open to a bright light.
I blink a few times until my sight is back.
I hop out of bed and down the stairs. Mom and Jessie are waiting for me. We never start eating until everyone is there. It's something we have been doing since dad died.
That night we thought he was just running late. We didn't know that he was in a serious accident and we would never see him alive again. We went ahead and ate. It was our last meal as a totally happy family. If I could redo one day it would be that one. Maybe if I had asked him to come home early or pick up something on his way then he would still be here. But you can't change the past...
Anyways, mom greets me with a good morning as I take my place at the table. Jess is on her phone, probably texting boyfriend of the week.
It's normally a new guy but every week or two she goes back to the same pathetic loser.
His name is Dylan and he is a grade above her. I don't like him because when he's around her he is alright but when she isn't there he is completely rude and ignorant and needs to be taught a lesson. But not by me! I can't do that. No, no, no. Jessie will never talk to me or respect me ever again.
After I have finished my meal consisting of a muffin and some bacon I go get ready. About 10 minutes later I arrive downstairs ready to go.
I bid my fair wells and skip out the door and down our steps.
I then continue on my regular path to school. I pass Jack's house and the daycare. Mrs. June is on the porch greeting some new parent. I give her a small wave before continuing down the sidewalk.
''It's just another week'' I tell myself.
