Chapter 23

Hannah POV

I look out onto the open sea.

It's so calm.

I wish I could stay here all day.

But I'm expected to do something terrible.

I have to kill Peter.

"When will you go?" Hook asks coming up from behind me.

I jumped a little.

"Soon" I say not giving any details.

He comes over to me and sits next to me, puts his arm around me and says

"Look trust me I know this is going to be hard, but you have to do this" hook says.

"I know" I say.

"Why don't you just get it over and done with so we can get off of Neverland?" Hook asks.

"Because hook, he still loves me. I know it. I don't want to kill him. He still means a lot to me. Can I not try to negotiate with him?" I ask pleading.

"If you don't kill him he will become stronger and come back to kill us whether we are in Neverland or back home" Hook says.

I hate it when he's right.

When everyone except me is right.

"Okay. I'll go find him" I say standing up.

"You can do this. I know you can" Hook says.

All I can do is nod at him.

He leans in to kiss me but I give him the cheek.

I'm not in the mood right now.

He notices but doesn't say anything and watches me as I head off.

Peter POV

The sun is shining down on my face.

I can feel the magic around me.

It's strong and I sense a battle may come today.

Should I hide?

I know sooner or later Hannah will show up.

I know they will make them kill me.

I don't think she will.

We still connect.

I still love her.

I love her beautiful dark blonde hair that hangs just below her shoulders.

Her beautiful brown puppy eyes that you just loose yourself into when you look at her.

Her voice soothes me.

Her smile is my sunlight, my love.

I must win her back.

Somehow I will.

I know I can.

"Felix" I call out.

He comes to my side immediately.

"I know they would have sent H.... Someone to kill me so I'm going to hide somewhere only Hannah could find me" I say.

"Okay Pan, stay safe" Felix says.

I shake his hand and say "see you in another life brother".

I walk off towards the place where we first met.

The woods in which I stopped the flying arrow.

1 hour later

I've been waiting a while now.

Maybe she's not coming.

Maybe she's.....

I hear a snap.

I turn around and see someone coming out of the woods.

They come into the light and I see her face.

The face that I love.

The face I'm afraid of.

The last face that I will see.

Unless I stop her.

Hannah POV

I walk through the woods.

I looked at camp but he wasn't there.

I think he may be where we first met.

That's where I'm heading.

I walk across the campsite where I stayed the first couple of hours before Peter found me and on the other side of the campsite stands Peter.

I wave at him and he smiles.

"You knew I would come" I say hinting a smile.

"I hoped" he says walking towards me.

"Then you know why I'm here. And what I have to do" I say.

"You don't have to" Peter says.

"Let us off this island" I say.

"No. I can't" Peter says.

"Then I do have to" I say.

I look at my hands and they start to light up.

"Wait Hannah. Please. If you stay with me your friends can go" Peter says.

"I don't want to stay. Let us go and I'll say you're dead" I say hoping he says yes.

"No. If I can't have you there's no point in anything" peter says.

"Why aren't you fighting, why aren't you trying to stop me?" I asks angrily.

"Because I don't want to hurt you" Peter says.

"Just remember Peter, I gave you a choice but you refused it. I can't help you now" I say.

"I love you Hannah" Peter says.

Tears arise in my eyes.

He sees and says

"I know Hannah. I know you have to. Don't cry just do it" Peter says.

I point my hands towards him and walk closer.

My face is only a metre away from his now when I say

"I love you too. I'm sorry".

I let the light fly out of my hands and through him.

He falls to the ground.

The sky gets darker and it starts to rain.

He looks at me for the last time and kisses me.

I hold him close crying continuously.

His body falls into dust.

He's gone.

I killed him.

He knew I would and he still let me.

I look out to the sea.

It's rough now.

Choppy waves and thundering.

Everyone knows now.

Peter Pan is dead.

I have killed Peter Pan.
