Once Upon A Pan

Chapter 9

Hannah POV

I wake up slowly to a bird singing.

I turn to face Peter but hers already got up.

I sit up and try to think about what happened last night and the more I think about it the more I remember.

I'm going out with Peter now but I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing right now.

I stand up and walk out of the tent.

When I walk outside I see Richard tied to a tree.

He has bruises and cuts all over him.

I run towards him and ask "are you okay?".

"Not really" Richard replies.

"Who did this to you?" I ask furiously.

He looks guilty now and says "Peter".

I look around and see him over by the tub washing his hands.

I stand up and walk up to Peter and scream "what are you thinking, what has he done?".

Peter turns round startled.

He realises what I'm talking about and says "he's suspicious and he won't tell us anything".

"Because he's innocent" I hollow.

I stomp over to the weapons cupboard and take out a sword. I then walk over to Richard and cut the ropes. He gets up and hugs me. "Thank you" he says.

"It's okay now go back to your tent I'll handle everything else" I say. He nods and walks back to his tent. He's shaking so he's a bit wobbly but he reaches his tent.

"Why did you do that?" Peter shouts.

"Because this isn't right" I shout.

"He's guilty I know it" Peter says to me angrily.

"Well then once you can prove your point that he's guilty then you can tie him up but tell me first" I say.

I then walk towards Richards tent.

When I enter I find a bed and a bathroom but there's no Richard.

He's gone.

Richard POV

I enter my tent grab a bag and start packing.

I have to get out of here, before I die. If they find me then I can just make an excuse.

I need to tell my leader what I've found before I return.

I then look out to see what's going on and I see Hannah shouting at Peter.

I have her on my side which is all I need.

I look around and make sure the cost is clear. Then I run.

I hide behind the nearest tree.

I look back at the camp and I see Hannah approach my tent then go inside.

I decide to run again so that I'll be further away when they come looking for me if they ever do.

I may have to return later depending on what my leader wants but for now I need to concentrate on getting to my leader.

I run into the woods towards the raging mountains.
