*Jasmines Pov*

I was sitting on the edge of the bridge, about a twenty minute walk from chipotle. I was watching the river flow by.

"Oh shit" I heard from behind me.

A blonde haired boy was turning around.

"Nate?. don't go..please." I said.

"Were you crying?" He said.

"Um, sort of. I made such a mistake, you don't have feelings for me, but I think, I think I might have feelings for you." I said turning back around.
I began to cry again.

"Oh Jasmine, listen, its okay. It's okay to have feelings for me."

I begin to stand up on the edge.

"Jas, please get down."

*Nates Pov*

I begin to get scared.

"Jas, listen to me, its okay to have feelings for me. Please don't do this. "

"I have to. "

"No you don't." I begin to walk towards her.

"Why did you pull away?" She asks.

"I didn't know what to do. I was shocked."

I get as far as the wall of the bridge. She moves closer to the edge.

"Jasmine, listen to me. If you do this, I will follow you. I don't want you to do this. I want to help you."

"Nate, you don't understand. I've fallen for so many guys who have all turned out to be absolute assholes or not like me. You don't like me. I've had enough of it." She said crying harder.

I climb onto the wall.

"Look at me, Jasmine." I say turning to look at her.
She turns around looking at the cement wall.

"Is there something more than guys?" I ask gently holding her hands.

"No" she replied still looking the ground.

"Jas, I'm going to ask you again, is there something more than guys?"

She nods, slowly lifting her head up.

"It would have been james' birthday today."

"Your brother?"

"Yeah, he would've been twenty four."

"Come here." I said pulling her into a hug.

She was crying into my shoulder.

"Will you come down now?"
She begins to nod into my shoulder.

"Okay, come on" I said, getting down.
I hold out my hands to help her down.

"Let's go home." I said wrapping my arm around her shoulder.
