Doctor Who: A Tale Of Two Humans (book one)

Chapter 1

Chapter 1:
Opening: (flashback or dream)
Annabelle flung herself to the floor of the Tardis just inside the door as blast from a judoon gun flew over her head. After slamming the door closed a tall thin man bent down beside her for a moment.
"Are you alright ann!?" Deep worry laced the Doctors voice but she knew there was no time for him to fuss over her,
"F-fine, better once we'er out of here." She groaned pushing her aching body upwards, until eventually she stood. She loved the fast pace of her adventures with the Doctor and the running that came with it though she couldn't lie and say that it didn't sometimes get to her. She forced a small smile as he gave a curt node bounding over to the console before grunting in frustration, kicking the base. "W-what? What's wrong?" She tried her best to drain any worry from her voice though it was hard to take the frightened edge off the last word. "The blew out the stabilizers...." He relipled quietly plunking down in a silent defeat, "We have one trip left, max, and even that may kill us" he ran his hands through his wild brown hair and she couldn't help the slight blush that dusted her cheeks.
"Th-that's not good....." She too couldn't think of any good way of escape as her eyes began to water frightened "What....What are we going to do?" He could hear the almost plead in her voice for him to make things right, he was the doctor, the man with a plan always, and he couldn't help as to feel he'd failed her. The best he could do is wrap her in a silent hug as she burrowed herself into his chest. The Judoon would never stop, they both knew that and they could track their Timelord signatures half across the galaxy if they needed to, but he had made a promise to protect the last good thing he had of his home world and he'd be damned if he broke that. He had a truly terrible idea.....
"Ann......" He says softly to the trembling girl in his arms, "we.....we'er going to have to hide...." Her head whipped up in fear and she shook it violently as tears began to form, she had made herself human once before, the total darkness, the loneliness flooded her memories, but the most most clear of them all.....the pain that accompanied the separation of Timelord and human as the machine rewrote your DNA. " There, There has to be another way!?" Her voice almost squeaked with fear as she tries desperately to control it, the sound of it made the Doctors hearts ache.
"I'm sorry.....I'm so sorry...." It was the only comfort he could offer her as he presses a few buttons lowering the head set. Ann took the pendant out of her pocket that she had once been trapped in as the Doctor brought forth his fog watch.
"I'll-I'll go first." She chocked as she moved toward it before feeling a strong hand grab her wrist.
"No!" The doctor said firmly before softening his exprestion, he couldn't listen to her in that much pain, he knew it was selfish but he didn't care, he showed her the controls before strapping himself in before she could protest. Tears began to fog her vistion and she tried hard to listen to his instructions.
"Ann, listen to me, I've put the controls on autopilot, it will put us down right outside Torchwood, I've sent jack a message to take care of you until we can figure this out." He spoke softly and tenderly to calm her "w-what about you!?" She chocked battling the tears and losing,
"The Tardis will asign me a life...."
" I-I want to stay with you" a few hot tears stained her cheeks at the thought of being without him.
"Ann, come here," he ordered kindly and she obeyed stepping to his side trembling. He gently reached his hand up brushing the tears away with his thumb,
"I will find you, no matter what this isn't goodbye," he swallows the lump forming in his throat not only promising her but himself, he wasn't going to leave her alone again, never. Her cheeks darkened and she threw caution to the wind leaning forward and kissing him deeply through tears. His eyes widened in supirse but slowly pressed his against her soft pillows of lips, pulling her close by the waist as she clung to him. Neither of them wanted to break the passionate embrace but were forced to as Judoon banged on the door. He pulled away quickly
"Q-quickly we have to do it now!" He ordered trying to shake off the dream like daze her kiss had left him in. She scampered quickly to the console and looked at him once more to see his kind smile before flipping the switch. Pain exploded through his body as he writhed an jumped.
"AaaaAAAHhhHHH!!!!!!!"he tried his best not to but a intense scream of agony burst from his lips making her break down sobbing quietly. She watches the man she loved tourchered and her hearts break before she shoots up in bed crying in a sweaty horrid mess. Jack came rushing into the room, gun in hand as he searched the girls room wildly.
"Ann!?" He yelled before seeing her curled into a small ball crying in her bed, holstering his weapon with a sigh, "the dream again?" She nodes shaking and rocking gently and he sits on the side of the bed pulling her into a tight hug, "there there it's alright, it's just a dream...."
