The Doctor and Ann looked on at the fallen Sontaran for many a minute as the stadium was silent. Soon, a small hand slipped into his and looking down he found his companion locking her fingers with his. He looked over at her, relief and dread flooding through him. He hated whenever death was involved, but she was alright, he was alright, and now hopefully would leave without a leader. They incased each other in a large hug, her arms around his neck and his face in her hair smiling. Though one twitchy trigger finger was to ruin it all. There was a sharp noise of energy and Ann gasped, the Doctors hands on her waist becoming wet and sticky as her knees gave and he clung to her wide eyed trying desperately to keep her standing. "N-no...no no no no no!" He roared clawing to keep her closer, a weak smirk on the Sontarans face as he finally closed his eyes for good. He had taken his last strength to try and kill them both, failing and only hitting the small girl. She was soon laid down as she gasped for breath and blood accompanied a cough. He looked at her trembling, his mind moving to how he could fix this, "p-please..please you can't leave me...p-please I don't want you to go." He choked and she smiles slightly, him holding her head, she leans forward and presses her lips to his. He could taste the metallic blood as tears rolled down his cheeks and he shakes, "move back" she whispers gently stroking a few tears away, "I love you doctor, I want you to remember this" she said gently and he shakes his head like a stubborn child knowing what happened next. He moves back from her as she begins to glow, closing her eyes until an explosion of light envelops her. She screams quietly and he covers his ears, feeling his hearts break. Soon the bright light dies and he was too scared to open his eyes. He sniffles, trying to coax himself into it. First one...then the other...where his little companion used lay is a boy. A boy with brownish blond hair and thin lips. His eyes where closed and his clothes torn from the change, he was small as always and thin. The doctor stood and stared in utter shock until the new person began to whimper and shift, "D-doctor?"
