*time skip, a few hours later, or dinner time*
As Ann prepared the teams meal she couldn't help but smile and hum quietly under her breath and as this was unusual for her observant Gwen picked up on the chance first, grinning. "Annie's got a date!" She announced with a tone of playful teasing in her voice. Ann of course, rolled her eyes though didn't say anything against the allegation leading Owen to come to the same realization. "Oie, no guy better go feelin up my Annie cause we got tools for that.....I think...." He asked as he put his arm over her shoulder turning to confirm with Toshiko. "I'm sure we can find something!" She answers with a small smile before turning more stern, "But Owen's right Annabelle you have to be very careful out there, you've seen the creatures that can make themselves look human...." She warned though her best friend Ianto was the first to come to her defense, "I'm sure she's been very careful in her selection, she's a quiet good judge of character.." He said with a smile which she returned while he handed her a spoon. "Right, I mean this is our Annie we'er talking about.....though if the guy dose end up trying to put a tentacle where he shouldn't we can just throw him in with one of the Weevils for a few hours!" Jack said entering the room and the conversation at the same time perfectly, one of his many gifts that she cursed under her breath, "So who's the lucky guy?" He said causally though they could all her the tone of concern in his smooth voice, Ann was his responsibility and he could easily protect her from the otherworldly things, no problem, it was humans he had a to keep her safe from. She cleared her throat loudly but only whispered, "D-doctor Smith..." He strained to hear her and shook his head, going from her easy going friend to her father in a blink of an eye, "WHAT!?" He shoot up straight and gave her a stern look of disapproval, though angrier at himself then her. He wasn't allowed to let them get too close, if one triggered the others return too early it could be bad......very bad.....for everyone. It was his own fault, of course she felt drawn to him, he shouldn't have let it go this far, he couldn't help but feel as if he had failed the Doctor. " Ann, you can not go out with your therapist, it's a law or a rule or something, whatever it is your not going." He said quietly, his voice shaking as he didn't dare look up to see the heartbreak on her face turn to anger, "IT'S NOT EVEN A PROPER DATE!! HE JUST WANTS TO RETURN ONE OF MY PICTURES OVER COFFEE, AND YOU CAN'T KEEP ME FROM GOING JACK!!" She yells smashing the spoon down and pushing past him as she tried to hold in her tears, running to her room and slamming the door extra hard as he jumps at the noise before the complete silence. Quinn's smile as dropped as has Owen's as Toshiko pretends to be busy on the computer and Ianto give him a stern glare, being the first to talk, "she's right you know, she's a grown woman you can't keep her from going to coffee...." He picks up Ann's spoon, continuing her recipe. Quinn is the next one to speak in her favor, "I mean what  harms a cup of coffee with this bloke going to case?"She asks but is silenced by Jack's icy glare.
