Chapter two: Leaving the Hospital

"I'm here"

"Ahhh! Kakashi dont scare me like that. Where have you been? I've waited for you for ages."

"Well you see..." he rubs the side of his masked face. "I got stuck in the journey of life"

"What? Thats the lamest excuse ever!" I look at him up and and down and do notice that his normal clean attire is rather scruffy and ripped. I ignore it and look back up at his face, even though I can only see one eye of his face it's enough to know that he looks at me with those eyes, those same eyes that every one of my last village looked at me with. Those eyes that look right through you, the eyes of distrust. I stand there in my hospital gown looking into his eyes, "Kakashi, can I ask you a question?" I say ever so quietly. "Sure ask away"

"Why do look at me with those eyes?" His one eye opens in shock but he quickly regains his composure

"Well you see, you have the striking resemblance of someone I once used to know, and well by the time she died she didn't really have a..." He rubs his hair awkwardly "great reputation in the leaf village" I look down and wonder, could this person be my mother, the person who supposedly 'died' in childbirth. I look back up a flash him a fake smile "oh ok don't worry about it" He stands there  awkwardly looking around the plain room "uhh Kakashi can you please leave now so I can get dressed" he looks at me "huh, oh right sure but theres a bathroom right there" I look at the door to the bathroom and curse under my breath for being so stupid "oh right ok" I walk towards the bathroom door hoping that Kakashi doesn't notice the pain in the stomach as I walk. I quickly grab the clothes off the shelf and dash into the bathroom closing the door shut behind me. I slowly bandage my chest and then pull on my red crop-top and white shorts while bandaging my left leg and arms and then putting on my sash, gloves and arm warmers. I then step into the mirror hanging on the wall. My once shining eyes are now dull and almost lifeless, faint bags under my hazel eyes from little sleep make them droop and my face has no colour to it.My auburn hair with green bits at the end and on my side fringe droop in misery. The three turquoise stripes coming onto my face from the sides of my cheeks are one of the only things left on me to remind me that I am the last of the Raito clan. I quickly put some makeup on to hide my lifeless face. My little 12 year old body hangs from all the traumas I had been through in the past month. My fists instantly curl inwards at the thought of what happened, even though I have mastered my lava kekkai genkai and have two chakra natures, things that only jonin can do, and can use my katanas like one of the seven swords men of the mist, I still couldn't kill him, I only stood there both of the times when he infiltrated my clan. Once when he killed my clan and the second time when he killed my family. I strap my two katanas to my sash and then unsheathe them, I hold their familiar weights in my hands and I feel the dents in them where many years of training have damaged them. I still remember when I got them.

Flash back

"Wow Daddy thats awesome you got me katanas." I hold the handles in my hands and try to lift them up but my weak little arms can hardly lift them a centimetre off the ground. I let them fall to the floor in disappointment. "Now, now Kurayami, its ok, I bet you in a years time you will be able to lift them all the way up." It then hit me. "Daddy, Daddy I can start my ninja training now because I'm now three." Atsuko sits in the corner jealously and mutters.

"I didn't get a katana in my third birthday."

"Now, now Atsuko don't get grumpy it's Kuryami's birthday and you might become a genin tomorrow." Her eyes brighten and she jumps on top of me screaming Happy Birthday.
