"Sorry…" He said, brushing his hair back with his hand. "It's ok…" I reassured him. "No no, I shouldn't have kissed you…You'll think I like you in that way, and I don't. I only see you as a friend." He said, almost in an angry tone. My heart sunk a little, part of me did expect that he did like me more than a friend. "That's ok, I'm the same. Let's just ignore it and let it blow over." I lied. He pulled me in for a hug, wrapping his arms tightly around me. I squeezed my eyes shut as my head rested against his chest, trying to stop the tears from forming. I got back to my flat late in the evening. I dropped my jacket and bag on the floor and went to the bathroom. In rage I tore off my bandages and threw them to the floor. Hot tears streamed down my flushed cheeks as I reached up to open the cupboard. The bottom of the cupboard had little lights, which turned on every time you opened it. It's like God telling me it's the right thing to do, this is what my life is. I reached for the second shelf, which had several razors on. Some stained and some not open. I tipped my head back, staring up at the blank ceiling as I did the work. I placed the razor back into the cupboard, and went to sit on my bed with a pad and pen. This is a story that I've never told I gotta get this off my chest to let it go. Once the song was finished, I placed fresh bandages around my wrists before sitting on the floor in the living room, looking up at the night sky with my guitar and piece of paper.
"This is a story that I've never told… I gotta get this off my chest to let it go. I need to take back the light inside you stole, you're a criminal and you steal like you're a pro." I heard a knock at the door which made me stop. "Imogen…You in there?" I heard Ashton say from behind the door. "Imogen!" He shouted before I started singing again. "All the pain and the truth I wear like a battle wound. So ashamed, so confused, I was broken and bruised." I took a deep breath, with all the knocking going on behind me. "Now I'm a warrior, now i've got thick skin. I'm a warrior." I cried through the tears that had re-appeared again. "I'm stronger than I've ever been, and my armour, is made of steel, you can't get in." I paused for a breather, Ashton was now screaming my name and slamming against the door. "I'm a warrior… And you can never hurt me again."
