I remember lying with my head out of the car window, facing the black sky. The rain was spitting down on my face, which stung in some areas. I tipped my head to the side, and saw smoke rising from the back of the car, and another car completely demolished behind. I felt two strong hands under my arms, and I was dragged out of the window and onto the grass nearby. Still facing the sky, I breathed in and out slowly, hearing nothing but the beat of my own heart. A familiar face, which was covered in blood on one side appeared. "Ashton…" I let out in a sigh, not having the energy to speak properly. "It's… It's ok… You're safe… You're…Alright…" He said slowly, his eyes finding it hard to stay open. "You…You saved me.." He managed a faint smile, but nothing like the usual smile. "Of course…I did.." "My hero…My batman…" I said slowly, trying to raise my hand up to his face. "My Immy…" He said slowly, before falling down on the grass next to me. "Ashton…" I said, staring at his lifeless body. "Ashton…" I managed to say as I pulled myself. I shook his body, but he wouldn't wake. "Ashton!" I shouted. I managed to get to my feet and walk over to the scene of the accident. "Anyone out there! Help me please!" I cried. I didn't recognise the car which was behind Ashton's, but it was ruined. I slowly wandered round to the other side of the car, stepping back slightly after seeing what laid in front of me. A woman, her body paralysed, twisted and cut. One hand was stiff, and raised in the air. She was in a white dress, which was now torn, covered in dirt and blood. One of her ankles was twisted right round, the heel of her shoe broken. It looked like she had managed to get out of the car, but didn't reach very far. I was about to step closer, when gasps were heard behind me. "Oh thank god!" Luke ran over and held me close to him, stroking my hair as he softly wept. "Thank god you're alright!" He sighed. I watched as Michael went over to the woman's body on the ground, and stared in fear. "What happened?" He asked. "I think this woman drove into the back of us… As Ashton was backing out…" "Where's Ashton?" Cal asked. Luke's arm was still wrapped round me. "Isn't he on the front lawn?" I asked. Michael closed the woman's eyes shut, and brushed her hair away from her face. The boys walked me over to the lawn, where Ashton was lying when I left, but he wasn't there anymore. "He collapsed here, a few seconds ago!" I said, starting to get worried. "Uh…" Calum said. "We shut the front door." We all stared over at the open front door, blood trailing in on the floor. "Shit!" Michael and Calum ran inside, as Luke helped me over. The boys rushed up stairs, in search for Ashton. "Let me look at you." Luke whispered as he stood in front of me and scanned my face. "Are you hurt anywhere else?" I shook my head, "I don't think anything's broken." "Guys!" We heard Michael cry. We both looked up at the stairs, the boys carrying Ashtons body in their arms. "We found him crashed out on the bedroom floor. He had this in his hands!" Cal passed me a piece of folded paper, with my name on it. I shoved it in my pocket and looked at Ashton. "Is he ok?" I asked. "He's breathing, but it's not looking good!" Luke ran into the kitchen and phoned an ambulance. Ashton and I rode in the ambulance, I was sat up on my foldout, but Ashton was lying down out cold, all wired up. I stared at him as my body rocked due to the bumps in the road. "Don't leave me…" I whispered to myself.
