I start to read the letter over his shoulder. Then he drops it as soon as I realize what it was. Link starts to cry hysterically. After a moment he picks up the letter again. I thought that he was reading the rest of the letter until he dropped it again, after three seconds of holding it.

He turns around and looks at me. "She's gone," Link sobs, "and I wasn't there for Aryll. I'm a terrible brother." He blinks some tears out of his eyes. "I have to get there. I have to see Aryll and make sure she is okay." Link closes his eyes and tries to collect himself. It looks like he gives up after a few minutes and collapses against the mailbox. When I first met this short stack, he was an inch or two taller than the mailbox. Now he was half a foot taller. I could tell because he had gained on height quickly.

Link looks up at me. "I have to go back. I have to go back now." His eyes were pleading with mine. I gave in.

"Fine. How do even know you can get there? It would be more than a day's time to reach that island," I raise my eyebrows at him. Sure, I was sad about his grandma, but it was three years ago. Move on. Sorry, but he's 17, and he shouldn't be so attached to his family. I lost my mother when I was merely a child. And it was just like him to get weepy-eyed and homesick on me.

"Do you have an extra rowboat?" Link wonders aloud.

Link and I settle down in the rowboat. Gonzo waves and blushes at me from shore. I smile and wave back. He's had a crush on me for, like, ever and sometimes it can get pretty annoying.

"So, what's your plan?" I ask once we're out of earshot. My poor crew, my family, was going to be lost without a captain. Link keeps rowing the small boat farther out to sea.

"I'm pretty sure my Wind Waker still works..." he began.

"You think? I left that island thinking that you had a flawless plan," I look behind me and see that the island and ship were far behind us, "and now I can't even get back!" I complain.

"Well, there's only one way to find out." He stands up and reaches into his small pocket that sat on his hip. Link takes out his Wind Waker.

"How does that even fit in there?" I ask, for the baton is much larger than his small bag.

"No clue. It's just always fit without the bag changing size," he holds his breath and moves his baton up, then left, and finally right. He stands there for a moment. I realize that the wind that was blowing against my back is now blowing on the left side of my face. "It worked," he says simply with a weak smile. "I'm going to try something else, but we need to tie down the oars first."

"Why?" I ask as I look around in the boa for some rope. I quickly find some and begin tying down one of the oars.

"Just trust me."

"I think I do that too much."

After Link helps with tying up the oars, he moves his Wind Waker down, right, left, and then finally up. We start spinning slowly in a circle, progressively getting faster and higher in the air.

"Link? What's going on?" I demand as I slightly freak out. I quickly hold on to something and brace myself.

"We're going to Outset, and we'll be there within three seconds." Link says and grabs the side of the very od boat, and we flew into the sky.

Next thing I know, we're spinning down to the Great Sea. I look around and see Outset Island. I smile, turn to the left, and throw up. I wipe my mouth afterwards and wash off my face with some water, some water away from my throw up. Then I grab the oars from Link's hands, who had already untied them. "I will paddle from here, thank you. How are you not feeling sick? Do you do this all the time?"
